I vote suede. Love that texture, plus I feel like scuffs on suede are not as noticeable as on patent.

If you get scuffs on patent, you can use a Magic Eraser to take them off. I learned that on Pinterest and it changed my life! woot lol

I vote suede. Is this for your flapper dress? I think Suede looks nice in general and brings attention to the shoes with the texture!

So I was supposed to pick up my BM dress from the seamstress this afternoon but got a call saying she was running behind and having a "family emergency", that it might be ready by tomorrow night. I hope so 'cause we leave Thursday afternoon! EEK!
(The dress is getting a new eye-hook and a nip taken in at the side of each cup)

the hook that it came with sucks huh? was it the fabric one? 2 of my dresses came with that.

yes, thread loop, that's what i meant when i said fabric. (still out of it from travelling - just got home phew!) i broke that loop on 1 dress... don't ask me why i was trying on a bm dress for my own wedding. laugh out loud Blush i need to fix it actually. did you just get a metal loop put on instead? i might just sew one on myself.

No worries, hope you had a good trip! hahah. If I had bought them, I would have tried one on too Teehee . Yes, I'm getting the thread replaced with a metal eye. Good luck! If this seamstress can't get it together I may be doing the same in the car on the drive up north. Messed Up Shouldn't be too hard right? I worry that I can't get that final stitch & knot tight enough.
