At this point, I'm fine with whatever she finds. She sent another email with another entirely new variation of dresses. Then when I think the color she likes works and then agree with her, she goes, "well, it ACTUALLY has a blue tone." WTF?!?! So it SOUNDS like she doesn't want her "perfect color dress" anymore. This whole thing is getting too complicated. And I'm just not going to put in any more effort regarding the dresses. I'm done. I'm okay with whatever she wants and if it ends up that she wants us to buy something that I think is ugly, then I'll just try to resell it. I'm just not going to care anymore and try to find ones that flatter everyone's shape. She can find whatever, and if the other BMs get mad at her for an ugly dress or makes them look fat, then so be it.

I just think that her and MOH and another bridesmaid are really expecting us to fork out too much not only with this, but everything else. ESPECIALLY MOH. She was telling us our Bridal shower ideas are not good enough and that we should spend more (!!!). I feel like there's only one other sane BM with regard to costs. So if this dress ends up being a headache, I'm just going to cut elsewhere. I just want one thing now - that it is comfortable. My best friend told me that I will just be running around everywhere and just be comfortable. That's all I'm asking for.

No, I don't know where they are looking. I know it's going to be in LA somewhere. Probably not Orange. They were looking to be around Burbank, but I think they've since expanded. I've seen them look at some things at Santa Monica? So I'm really not sure. She has not updated us on her venue search and I don't know if anywhere is open for April for a budget wedding. Frankly, I don't care about her venues anymore either and she can just tell us what she picked. I'm sure she can get the cake stuff figured out on her own. I bet she doesn't know what she wants and I don't want to have anymore to do with any part of it! My coordinator friend is right - laid back brides who don't know what they want is more difficult to work with!

I think I'm just gonna chill out now and just let things roll. I have more important things to do!

Sorry for the rant. I think I just realized how incredibly frustrated I am getting with these things as more and more crazy emails I keep getting. I think I will lay low now.

awww hang in there. just remind yourself why your friend is your friend when you get these crazy emails. she is likely just getting in over her head in all things wedding. it's so easy to get overly caught up in dresses when there are so many other things she should really be worrying about. i know i was extremely difficult to work with because i had no idea what i wanted (but i am also picky. the worst combination ). i would say 1 thing, and then a week later change my mind and do another. i think at the end of the day it helped me to brainstorm on my own and then when plans were a bit more finalized i would let others in on it. but it sounds like she is just excited to pick these things, and she's probably running dress choices by you to see what your reaction is.

i think all dresses are pretty. i guess my point was, if she likes royal purple, perhaps you can kindly suggest a neutral colored dress with brightly purple flowers. it will still pop.

aznguuuuuurl your situation sounds like my last BM experience. In the end you gotta bite the bullet with costs because there ain't nothing you can do about it when everyone else doesn't care about spending $$$

Yeah, you're right. She's probably getting caught up. I'm starting to think she's picky too! But you said you like to be in control, so that helps, I think. But I think she's unrealistic - remember what I said about wanting lots of lace and lots of details for her dress, but for dirt cheap? I just think that she sees that she's not paying for the dresses and she can request whatever and request tailoring and whatever and not have to care about the costs.

Sorry, I missed your point I think I was too angry. I think that's a good idea, but I think any color that is not royal purple will not fly. She is very firm about her purple. It's her favorite color. At this point, I don't think anyone will be able to have a say in color. I am just happy that she isn't picking a puke color like what you had to wear before as a BM. Just trying to think happy thoughts She is a dear friend of mine, so I want to make it easy for her, but at this rate I just want to step back.

The past month work has been super busy that when I get home, I won't even turn on the computer. I think that's a good thing b/c then I'm not tempted to shop online. I've also been attending a lot of weddings lately and have no money to shop for myself. Weddings galore will continue through end of this year.

Thank goodness that work has calmed down so I'm able to see what yall been up to. It seems like a lot of upcoming weddings lately!

yes! Lots of weddings. I don't think I will be shopping much for myself this year. I don't know if I can even go to NorCal for a friend's housewarming party who will be moving up there!

The only BM that cares about costs is the Accountant!! AND the bride, but the bride is about reducing costs for herself.

Yes! It is very much like the purple you used! Looks to me to be about the same. Watch I think that and the bride will tell me it's yet a different shade this should be like 50 shades of purple!!

Yes, exactly to both! See why I am now frustrated instead of being excited? She also explicitly stated for no one to look prettier or better looking than her cause it's about her not us! That's an obvious, but I was kinda offended! Of course it's about her!!! But does that mean I can't use makeup?!?
