That's funny. I think she looks more curvaceous in the teal/black dress. To me, it's more flattering to her figure.
nod I agree there, but I know she likes one shoulder dresses. Teehee To me, there's always something about the black and white combination that makes any piece classic!

fyi that S in that jacket felt like a M to me, at least. it was so weird. i should have taken a photo of a XS to show you - those were tight! i couldn't even zip 1 of the XS's i tried on. that's why i thought it was very strange, and thought someone too large for the jacket tried to wear it. Dontknow i don't think it's THAT bad tho... it's just a bit larger on me than can be. i'll try to remember to take a photo of the S that i took home. it's not that boxy on me. i'm just scared it will eventually end up like that picture!

and i agree that in the photo the teal gives me a smaller waist. but i think i agree with azn - i liked the black/white one better on me. the teal one was very tight on my waist and wasn't very comfortable. i think it was made for someone with a smaller waist than me.

i also happen to like one shoulder things, especially when the shoulder is on the left. i'm weird and like my right collar bone more than my left. Crazy laugh out loud
nod to one shoulder on you. Plus, it helps minimize your shoulder from what you've mentioned about the broad shoulders. Plus, comfort is good especially if you're going to be eating in a dress! Haha..I always think of about that when I dress shop.

I really don't know what to say about that jacket. Definitely try the XS, I think.

should i try stretching it out then? laugh out loud i've tried it in xs and it's small on me. Frown ugh this is so frustrating!

i guess i'll have to get xs and do some yoga in it! i guess i'm assuming that the fabric panels will stretch. the arms of the xs fit me a lot better, for sure.

oh i was really annoyed when i was in store. i asked them to look up my express next account with phone number and they wouldn't! they said it's tied to the cc - i said i never get the points (i don't!) when they do that but she wouldn't do it. Annoyed

but it's ok i guess, bc it's looking like i'll return the jacket anyway.

If you're not comfortable & won't wear the teal/black dress, I definitely wouldn't keep it. It doesn't matter how good it looks, if you won't wear it. I like the one shoulder dress too. Since I don't wear dresses that often, I can find plenty my DH & I both like. I never have figured out why he doesn't like the one shoulder style. Confused

Was the jacket in the pic the peplum style or last years?

Have your DH wear the XS for awhile to stretch it a little for you. Teehee The sleeves on the small looked long. I hate when sleeves are too long. Now I don't know which size to order.

i don't think i ever asked what style of dress DH likes. he doesn't usually notice. laugh out loud

it was the peplum style jacket.

that is a GREAT idea to have him wear it to stretch it out! i never even thought of that... that could work!

nod boobs are where it is the tightest. thank you! I normally wear it unzipped. I only bought it in late march or april so i haven't wore it that much. i saw it in colorado and had to have it.

laying flat on the floor it is about 13.75 inches across the skinniest part of the waist.
