RETIRED Marlboro Outwit the West Funny Farm

228 92 October 16, 2010 at 01:35 PM
Hi all,

I started this thread for anyone who wants to come here for lite discussion, jokes, and just general discussion and fun.

Everyone is welcome!

I was thinking that maybe it would be helpful to keep the original thread to a bit more of a serious discussion of the clues and answers.

This would make the original thread more useful to those seeking serious information and clues without having to read through hundreds of extraneous messages.

So, I hope it catches on !

So pop a beer and pull up a chair and relax !

Just sprinkle some around your container plants, then everytime you water,, which in this heat should be 3X a day,, your plants will get a little "taste" of the epsom salt !!
thanks

Coloring your hair costs more when it is long. The $150 isn't unreasonable for the length of your hair. I don't know about flat irons. The curling iron makes my hair split, even when I'm super careful. Is the flat iron better?
I have a lot of very fine hair and it is long. I use the #2 heat (there are about 12) and it does not damage. Loose curls.

They were good and they echo loud on the water. Last year we were right under them but this year a little further back. I kept thinking I could have watched the Macy's on TV but they had to go. EEK!

Anyone know anything about flat irons??? Is this a good one?? I want one (cant seem to win one) Probably only use it once in a while to put curls in my hair. My hair is thick and almost down to my waist again, no thanks to the Demon scissors incident last year! Dont know why it grow this fast! I have little to no damage to it now and want to keep it that way. Curling iron takes over an hour to use! This seemed faster when I was at the salon but dont know too much about them.
I would appreciate any advice. Havent gone to the salon to color my hair yet. She wants like $150!!! Checking around that seems the best offer and she does good work. Maybe she wants a tailgate BBQ??? LOL

Why a flat iron? I saw one that had ridges and puts curls as you go along but any curling thing will take a long time with long hair.

Lady at the salon used it on my hair last year when she colored my using platinum streaks!!!! Platinum is another work for GREY!!!! I liked the way she used the flat iron. Theres no winding, just start at the top and a slight twist and pull to the end. Kinda like a ribbon. Made it took really pretty and it was quick
They never used one on me. Doesn't it just straighten? I never saw one used on anyone.

yup. it's brutal here too. I been watering my veggies twice a day,, just went out and watered them again. They needed it ! were all starting to droop !
Now my bedroom airconditioner broke. Does not pay to fix it. It is a big heater/airconditioner unit in the wall. There are no windows in my bedroom, just sliders to a 2nd floor deck. I think I have to break thru the wall and another project for poor sam. maybe he should run away with jelee. But at least it can be done from the deck and not require a ladder. Don't know what to do but it is so hot up there it is unbelievable.

Um, he lives in another town and works 50 to 60 hours a day out in the hot sun building sunrooms in 100*+. Then when he gets home he looks after the kids while she goes to work. I may see if he can make a trip up and do it for me. Ive come to the conclusion that my tools are all bums!!! Pick ax only goes in 1/2 inch at a swing, shovel wont dig so I have to use it as a scooper and the garden weasel claw thingy dont like to turn!!! I have incompetent tools!!!

maybe the ground is too dry
fill the depression with water and let it soak over night
then try again
if still too hard
repeat, water and let it soak

my brothers yard is like concrete when it's dry
soft when it gets wet

Thats what the crazy old lady next door said to do!!! Its got solid clay and rocks in it and just plain hard dirt!!!. I'll try that tomorrow. Worked for over an hour on it today and my hole went from 3" deep to 6"!!! Thats way too much work!!! These Roses better turn out pretty!

You can use it to straighten but if you flip your wrist and drag it along your hair it will curl it like a ribbon
