Hi all,

I started this thread for anyone who wants to come here for lite discussion, jokes, and just general discussion and fun.

Everyone is welcome!

I was thinking that maybe it would be helpful to keep the original thread to a bit more of a serious discussion of the clues and answers.

This would make the original thread more useful to those seeking serious information and clues without having to read through hundreds of extraneous messages.

We have a nice summer this year, We are going to get a few 100s this week but at nite we always get a breeze to cool us down. Comes of the Delta Water Ways and brings the temp down to the 70s, for the nite and warms back up in the day. Thats Calif.

Well, I'd wait & see if you get new growth on the hedges, because they add color in the winter. I've cut back similar hedges and they did grow back.

I'd plant the beautiful pink climbing roses by the driveway by the fence. Then it would be gorgeous in the summer & you wouldn't notice it in the winter.

Yup, most hedges can tolerate being cut way back,,, with this heat it could take a while for them to bounce backnod

Im planting red American Beauty climbing roses there. Want to take out the hedges because when my grandma planted them she thought she bought the kind that only get 4 to 6' tall. She didnt. They are outgrowing the area they are in and we are going to plant something else there anyway. Im rooting for something flowerey. Maybe blue snowball looking ones. Not sure yet. The roots are starting to push up around the sidewalk and I dont want to end up having to replace that, not to mention how close it is to the foundation. I want to get a Crepe Myrtle for beside the garage or the other corner. Think they neighbors is really pretty'

Yeah but even with the high and tight trim its still too big for the space its in. Absolutly NO green on the sides!!! Only about 2 inches on top!!! laugh out loud
