RETIRED Marlboro Outwit the West Funny Farm

228 92 October 16, 2010 at 01:35 PM
Hi all,

I started this thread for anyone who wants to come here for lite discussion, jokes, and just general discussion and fun.

Everyone is welcome!

I was thinking that maybe it would be helpful to keep the original thread to a bit more of a serious discussion of the clues and answers.

This would make the original thread more useful to those seeking serious information and clues without having to read through hundreds of extraneous messages.

So, I hope it catches on !

So pop a beer and pull up a chair and relax !

I have a few rabbits too, but they're content grazing in the lawn... and when they're around I know there is no ground hogs around. If you want them gone, start putting out carrots/peelings. Then get a hav-a-hart trap and bait it with the same

The hav-a-hart trap sounds like a good idea (I'm assuming by the name it doesn't hurt them). The bunny likes my lettuce leaves and I think the flowers on the squash plants, unless that's from something else. I don't use pesticides so not sure.

It's basically a cage with a trap door. If they go in and step on the trip plate, the door slams shut

Then Mark can take it up to where he works and let it out. That would work.
By the way- congrats on the "Demoleition" of the mole. I've stepped on a few soft spots in the back yard and almost twisted my ankle. I hate those things.nod

A family of moles had been hibernating all winter. One beautiful spring morning, they woke up. The father mole stuck his head out of the hole and looked around. "Mother Mole!" He called back down the hole. "Come up here! I smell honey, fresh made honey!" The mother mole ran up and squeezed in next to him. "That's not honey, that's maple syrup! I smell maple syrup!" The baby mole, still down in the hole, was sulking. "I can't smell anything down here but molasses ..."

Yup I borrowed a smaller one, but it was too small for ground hogs. I bought a bigger one, just under $60. and it works

cool. That's a pretty good price. I'll check it out. I keep getting ground hogs and moles mixed up. I don't think I would know the difference. I have to google it and see images.Confused
