Hi all,
I started this thread for anyone who wants to come here for lite discussion, jokes, and just general discussion and fun.
Everyone is welcome!
I was thinking that maybe it would be helpful to keep the original thread to a bit more of a serious discussion of the clues and answers.
This would make the original thread more useful to those seeking serious information and clues without having to read through hundreds of extraneous messages.
So, I hope it catches on !

If it is just the capacitor and starts back up, you will get cold air but only until it cycles then it will stop running again until you get the new capacitor, but at least you can cool the house down first. Then just turn off until you get the capacitor or you will have to go out and turn the fan to start it again.

My upstairs heatpump unit died this spring....a $4-$5K fix so it is not fixed. When one of my kids comes home I just move the $130 portable window ac unit to their room. That heatpump has always given me trouble and it is/was only 8 yrs old. Compressor has been replaced in the past too but at least that was under warranty...argh! Good luck!

My big legal thingy will be over by end of Oct at the very latest...finally after 3 yrs!!! The other one...is just beginning...but it is not such a big deal. I have just decided with both of these issues I wasnt going to just lay down and be a door mat. But whatever the outcome I will be ok. It is just a shame lawyers get away with charging so much that most people cannot afford to fight when they have been wronged. I call it legalized crime

"Lets do the all important stick test before we get to far along here guys. find yourself a nice strong little stick and give that blade a push in the direction that it normally runs when it is on and should be running also be careful to note if it spins easily or seems to be kinda tight when you spin it. If it starts up and runs normally you need a new capacitor if it is is tight and does not want to turn you will nedd a new fan motor and capacitor Good Luck"

Once during my 2 day D trial we had a 15 minute break, at 30 min I go back out in the hall to find my attn, ex's attn, judge in the hall laughing it up. I yelled at them to get back to work cuz they were on my dime! Maybe that is part of the reason I got screwed but I realized then, they are ALL in bed together...just a game and a paycheck for them. And, I feel this is why our government is so screwed up...many are lawyers
