18+, Us, one entry per person/email address. In 100 words or less, describe how you or another woman in your life spends time helping others and making a difference. Ends October 8, 2012 @ 11:59pm ET
Prize: (4 winners) Round-trip coach airfare for two from the major commercial airport nearest winner's primary residence in the U.S. and one standard hotel room (double occupancy) for 2-nights at a hotel selected by Sponsor, as well as transportation to and from the airport. Each winner will also receive a makeover at a salon selected by Sponsor, including haircut OR haircolor, blowout, makeup, manicure and pedicure, $1,000 donation to the charity of their choice and a $1,000 gift card courtesy of Sally Hansen. With gift card certain restrictions may apply including expiration date. Each winner will also participate in a photo shoot while in New York, and select photos may be included on a non-editorial contest follow-up feature in a future issue of Glamour magazine. All other transportation, meals, in-room charges (e.g., mini-bar, movies), telephone calls, gratuities, incidentals, and all other expenses are not included. Winner and travel companion must be available to travel on the same itinerary, as selected by Sponsor. If, in the sole judgment of Sponsor, air travel is not required due to winner's proximity to prize location, ground transportation may be substituted for roundtrip air travel. Unless child of winner, travel companion must be eighteen (18) years of age or older as of the date of departure. (ARV $4,500). ARV depends on exact itinerary. All winners must agree to travel to New York on the dates specified by the Sponsor. If a selected winner cannot travel to New York on dates specified by the Sponsor the prize may be forfeited and an alternate winner may be chosen

WINNER SELECTION AND NOTIFICATION. All Submissions will be judged on or about 10/24/12 by a panel of judges comprised of Sponsor's employees based on the following criteria: 50% - inspirational qualities of the nominee, 50% - scope and quality of the accomplishments of the nominee. The ten (10) Submissions with highest overall scores will be declared potential semi-finalists (in the event of a tie, the Submission with the higher score in the scope and quality of the accomplishments criteria will prevail). Potential semi-finalists will be notified by mail, email and/or telephone
Each Semi-finalist Submission will be posted on glamalert.com from January 8, 2013 through February 11, 2013 where users will be invited to vote for their choice. On or about March 1, 2013, the semi-finalists will be judged again based on the following criteria: 25% voter results, 37% - inspirational qualities of the nominee, 38% - scope and quality of the accomplishments of the nominee. The four (4) Submissions with the highest overall scores will be declared potential winners (again, in the event of a tie, the Submission with the higher score in the scope and quality of the accomplishments criteria will prevail). Any potential semi-finalist or winner will be notified by mail, email and/or telephone. If a potential semi-finalist or winner: (i) cannot be contacted; (ii) does not respond within five (5) days from the date the Sponsor first tries to notify him/her; (iii) fails to return the Affidavit and Release as specified in Rule 9; (iv) refuses the prize; and/or (v) the prize or prize notification is returned as undeliverable, such potential semi-finalist or winner forfeits all rights to win the Promotion or receive the prize, and an alternate potential semi-finalist or winner may be selected. Upon contacting a potential semi-finalist or winner and determining that he/she has met all eligibility requirements of the Promotion, including without limitation the execution of required waivers, publicity and liability releases and disclaimers, and, at Sponsor's discretion, successful completion of a background check, such individual will be declared a "semi-finalist" or "winner" of the Promotion.
