mine to, can't remember the last time I even used demonoid
Demonoid was useful for some very specific things that seemed to be harder to find. They tended to have just about everything. Or so I'm told. By my law breaking friends.

Newsgroups are much, much safer. That's why you don't talk about them. Nobody actually gets sued for downloading, it's the inherent re-uploading that comes along with P2P that gets people in trouble and sued.

In theory, newsgroups are safer. One point of contact (newsgroup provider) rather that multiple points of contact (seeders). Plus it is harder for a copyright holder to host its own contact with a newsgroup. But you didn't hear that from me.
Well I quit doing that stuff when I got a letter from my ISP a few years ago. laugh out loud I just use amazon mp3 promos these days. Sadwalk

That's the other beauty of usenet. It's encrypted traffic, so no one can ever accuse you of downloading anything specific. I pay $15/ month for unlimited bandwidth. They also don't keep any logs, so it's encrypted AND anonymous.

It has been nearly 10 years since I started using torrents and I have never received a single letter from my ISP. Oh, and I have never been part of any private trackers.

And a letter wouldn't be the end of the world, it's just a slap on the wrist nowadays.

Usenet is pretty good. I know other places that are cheaper if you ever want to switch just let me know.

Cheaper for unlimited bandwidth and at least 30 connections? Do tell!
