Hi all,

I started this thread for anyone who wants to come here for lite discussion, jokes, and just general discussion and fun.

I was thinking that maybe it would be helpful to keep the original thread to a bit more of a serious discussion of the clues and answers.

This would make the original thread more useful to those seeking serious information and clues without having to read through hundreds of extraneous messages.

LOL, We're all hard headed. But, Since you have a brand new PC now You need to let it perform for you. We all started on dial-up, I had it for about 3 days and couldn't take it anymore. I was into downloading music at the time and a song would take like an hr. Then I went to the high speed stuff through a cable company and OH MY, What a difference. I could download a song in about 3 seconds. You my Dear are going to get high speed cuz we are harder headed than you and you have to do what we saylaugh out loud..You'll be so glad ya did........OH, And Good Morning to all. Big Grin

Yeppers, this is where the router comes in! Sometimes where ever you get your DSL they will supply it, sometimes free, sometimes a charge. If they are going to charge for it, its as easy as going to Walmart or Best buy and getting one instead.
I also have mine thru ATT and got my router at Walmart.

I have to agree with Dabby - You gotta new Computer, might as well get your moneys worth out of it, and make it do what it can Smilie

you'll like Windows 7.. it's easy navigation.. you'll catch on to it rather quick.. and you do not need a router unless you want wireless connection on some of your devices.. AT&T will provide a modem.. no cost on the first one.. if it hits the shit.. you'll have to cover the replacement.. I've had the same modem for 9 years.. bought my own router when I got Jim his Transformer.. no biggie to install.. if ya decide ya want wireless..buy your own router.. it's cheaper.. but call AT&T (or whom ever you decide to let in your house Wink) and they will be glad to give ya the info on what to expect.. I have a faster speed than the $15 a month pack.. they will go over all that shit.. keep in mind.. I started at the low end.. it's fine for surfing.. not much difference in performance for the price increase in the middle packs.. but big difference in the top packs.. all boils down to ya get wtf ya pay for.. some ppl prefer cable connection.. I am sure they will chime in..

Not that I care that it has remained the same, but I'm curious: does anyone know why my number of Posts, on Funny Farm, has remained at 137 for more than a month? It doesn't change, at all. Like I said, I don't really care if it changes, or not...I'm just curious.

Thanks, so if ya go buy your own router, can you then hook it up yourself, and finish it with them online, or do ya still have to have them come out and hook it up for you?
