RETIRED Marlboro Outwit the West Funny Farm

Hi all,
I started this thread for anyone who wants to come here for lite discussion, jokes, and just general discussion and fun.
Everyone is welcome!
I was thinking that maybe it would be helpful to keep the original thread to a bit more of a serious discussion of the clues and answers.
This would make the original thread more useful to those seeking serious information and clues without having to read through hundreds of extraneous messages.
So, I hope it catches on !
So pop a beer and pull up a chair and relax !

What's the name of the valley in central Greece where you'll find monasteries built on rock pillars?
You Answered: Meteora
CORRECT!
Holy Monastery of Varlaam, Greece
Perched on a cliff 1,224 feet above central Greece's Meteora Valley, the Greek Orthodox Holy Monastery of Varlaam stands in tribute to faith -- and engineering precision. Built on natural sandstone rock pillars in 1541, Varlaam is one of 6 similarly constructed monasteries in the region

It really is a different world of internet, no kidding.
My cable -- basic only -- cost that much and I cancelled that about 4 years ago. If I want to watch something -- news, movies, TV shows -- I do it all on line at no additional cost. I can do research and download photos and in general amuse myself no end -- all for 53¢ a day. DSL is one of the brightest spots in my life -- after the cats, of course.

Good Luck to all!
DSL here for just over a year. Dropped the home phone and went with dry loop DSL (uses the phone line). It is sooo much faster.
I was able to install the service by myself. I've had 6 service outages during this time-without DSL for 4 hours to 4 days. Each time that I reported it, they wanted to send a tech out, each time, it was their fault and no tech needed. Kind of frustrating. Still use AOL, just went to the billing screen and checked that I had my own connection. So, AOL is free, no home phone-the bill is now less and I also have not cable. If there is a show that I really want to watch, I watch online.
