Dog chew toys that don't get them in trouble: Add your dog's favorites! (Thanks, daisee)
1. Fun stuff
- We leave empty cardboard boxes for the dogs to chew up. Also these loofah bones (cleans their teeth while they rip them apart) and TONS of cat toys (with catnip). (from veritableqndry)
2. Hard-to-destroy stuff
-At dollar tree they carry "milkbone" toys... she beats the hell out of them and still they hold up. (not to mention their only a buck if they destroy them) (from wakethewicked2)
- I've had good luck with these -- the avatar dog has destroyed everything but this kind. They come in different sizes and shapes and you can put treats inside for them to dig out: http://www.petmountain.com/produc...-kong.html . I get mine at a local farm store, but I'm sure you could get them at places like Pets Mart if you don't want to buy online. (from callpocket)
- Here are a couple that have survived Sophie so far:

- Here are a couple that have survived Sophie so far:
- Busy Buddy bouncy bone - We gave up on the rawhide inserts. She rips those out in seconds but likes the toy without them anyhow and cannot kill it.)
- Everlasting treat ball -Again she pulls out the expensive inserts right off the bat...but she likes bouncing the toy. You can also hide dog kibble in the middle for the dog to try to get out, which entertains him for awhile. She hasn't managed to rip this one at all yet even though it feels soft and flexible.
- Jolly Ball: - Ours is bigger than the one at this link. It's hysterical to see her stick her snout in the hole and wave the ball in the air. It's bigger than her head. She runs around the house with it on her snout, growling and acting like a maniac. I don't know why she can't chew it up, but she can't.
- Then there are big Nylabones, which she can kill eventually. But they take a long time to die. (from olu)

The Photographic Evidence Is Awesome!
She pooped it all out without incident! I'm glad my vet told us not to operate...
He has this James Bond kind of expression going
Maybe Sophie needs more exercise than a morning run!

I get the stare down. My one year old Shepherd LOVES kongs. He is just nuts about them. Yet he expects you to throw all day every day, sleeping, awake. He will drop it where ever you are and then do the stare down. Then cock his head to the side waiting waiting for us to pick it up and throw it. I would love to get rid of these kongs. I wish he would learn to throw them himself. He can jump up into the air so high he hits my ceiling fans
We have a small house and he is huge.
Sigh what would I do without them, they cost so much money but they love me so much. Its extra cute when my shepherd climbs up into bed with me (when he thinks Im sleeping) and sprawls out, He fills up the entire passenger side of the bed (LMAO)
Then he starts snoring.. gotta love it

He destroyed the sheep in about a half hour on Friday night (took his time!) and on Saturday the tug toy in about 10 minutes. We have been pulling string from his butt.
We let him play with the shell of the Sheep... but most of it has been shredded and tossed so he doesn't choke on it. But he found a small piece of it earlier this week and has been carrying around a 1 inch my 1 inch square of fabric like it is his pot of gold.

1. Chase chickens at a farm in the afternoon even though you know much, much better. Get in trouble. Get sent to the car for the rest of the visit. Look pathetic.
2. Get invited with your people to visit dog buddy's house. Steal his favorite ball. Desqueak it. Rip a hole in it. Get it taken away. Look pathetic.
3. Convince your buddy to sneak downstairs with you and bring the rubber covered free weights he is not allowed to touch back upstairs. Get him to fling them around with you and bang into things. Get in trouble. Get them taken away. Look pathetic.
What my dog ate this week: Only dog food so far. But early this a.m. she did throw up a piece of her buddy's plastic ball that she ripped up way back on Saturday
Cute avy, hilarios

I found it, intact, with a few new holes for ventilation...
It was in his kennel...
