Fall 2012 new TV shows

Yawn

The one new show that I really like (have only seen two new shows so far) is Major Crimes, they've really broken out of the old show and come up with fresh and very interesting story lines. Emily Owens M.D. looks really good (from the trailer) but doesn't air until Oct. 16.

The only shows that look remotely interesting IMHO, are Revolution (maybe, needs more than one episode to judge), Vegas (Mike Chiklis/Dennis Quaid).

Of the rest...Arrow (doesn't air until Oct.), 666 Park Avenue (maybe, interesting premise), Elementary (UK Sherlock ripoff), Last Resort (?), The Mindy Project. Yawn

Doh Forgot to mention Copper on BBCA. It's pretty good, so far, have only seen two episodes so far. Just don't watch it when the kids are around, I think DH said it was made by the same guy who did Deadwood.

I haven't watched any of the new shows yet this season. Or probably for the last couple of seasons for that matter. I will check out Revolution when I get a chance. I don't hold out a lot of hope for it but it does look interesting enough to give it a chance.

I'm just glad Sons of Anarchy is back on again. I never saw any of that until the end of last season when I sat and watched all four seasons in about 3 days. Looks good so far in the first two episodes of this season but I don't imagine it will last much longer before they do away with it.

I think it's FX's highest rated show and even includes The Walking Dead. I think it's got at least 2-3 more years before things start to wind down.

Kurt Sutter, the creator of SOA, has gone on record stating that he envisions the story unfolding over seven seasons. I don't think he's going to have a problem getting two more seasons. It's a great show that has gotten better over the years.

And the return of SOA means more great news... Justified will be back on soon!

Check out Copper, you might like it, as long as a good bit of cussing doesn't put you off. nod

The trailer below got me interested in it. I didn't think to add this to the OP when creating it because it's been on since late August.

I've been saving the new season on the DVR. Amazon had the first season available for free right up until the new season began, and then they made it a paid series. Annoyed

So now I'm downloading season 1 episode by episode as they become available. It's a really good show so far.

You may also want to check out Line of Duty on BBC. Those damn brits piss me off. They make great shows, and then only do half a season at a time.....every other year. Annoyed

Copper has that UK feel to it but it was created by two Americans and filmed in Toronto. So it's the first ever BBCA original series and the first show that BBCA has aired that didn't come from the UK. There are 10 episodes in total for season one and if it stays as good as what I've seen so far, I hope there will be a season two.

They did a behind the scenes short film that gave all this info, otherwise I would have thought it came from the UK too. nod

Doctor Who is a highly-rated, international hit, and they still only make 13 or 14 episodes a season. Well, I suppose they do make a Christmas episode or whatever too.

I gave Copper I think three episodes. It visually looks good, (though dark and dreary), but it's... zzzzz. It needs more car chases or something.
