The usual dell GC rules apply, first post in a long time. Correct me if I miss anything.

Previous Dell GC link for anybody wondering about the rules....

--- Any unauthorized reproduction, sale or transfer constitutes fraud.
--- Offer eligible from November 6th to November 27th, 2012.

--- Please see additional terms and conditions at http://dell.cashstar.com/about/te...onditions/.

Reward Chart
Total Purchase Amount → Reward
$400.00 - $500.00 → $75.00

---------------------------------------------------

1 - For online orders there is a limit of one gift card per order. For phone orders there is a limit of three payments.
2 - Non-promotional gift cards, aka paid cards, can be consolidated ($400+$400+$400 = 1x $1200card)
3 - Promotional cards cannot be consolidated ($50x3 = 3 separate cards) but they can be stacked (see Example 2 below)
4 - If you have a balance, your credit card counts as form of payment
5 - You can use multiple gift cards by calling in (the website limits you to one)
6 - The cards can be used at Dell Home, Dell Small Business, and Dell Outlet but not Dell Financial Services

Example 1:
Item's price ~$1325
Buy 3x $400 paid cards, get 3x $75 promo cards
The 3x $400 paid card can be consolidated into one $1200 paid card
Total Payment:
$1200 paid card
$75 promo card
$50 left over for credit card (plus tax and ship or whatnot)
*Can only use one promo card here because the residual balance will be more than the other promo card can cover and the credit card must be used to cover the rest.

Example 2:
Item's price ~$800
Buy 2x $400 paid cards, get 2x $75 promo cards
The 2x $400 paid cards can be consolidated into one $800 paid card
Total Payment:
$75 promo card
$75 promo card
$650 (plus tax and ship or whatnot) on consolidated paid card. Have $150 balance (less tax and ship) on paid card.
*Can use both promo cards here because the residual balance is a credit

Probably not. GC is issued by cashstar and the charge on the card would be as cashstar not dell.

You can combine GC's online.

REMEMBER!! PROMOTIONAL FUNDS EXPIRED AFTER 90 DAYS!!

The promotional gift card amount expired after 90 days even though on the fineprint when you printed the coupon out stated funds do not expire!

You can only use one per transaction... but you can merge up to a certain amount (3 or 4 I think) of them into one, then use the one big one on your transaction.

However, you cannot merge the promotional gift cards.

Isn't the current Quaterly Discover 5% CB for *Online* purchases, does not matter if it is dell or cashstar.

Also Dell Consumer has 10% CB Holiday Bonus with ShopDiscover - when you finally buy the system from dell using the gift cards

That is correct. Hopefully they are not excluding gift cards.

Having these in hand and ready to go can really make the Outlet deals pretty slick. I did it last year around this time when I picked up my wife's new laptop. Still haven't seen many better deals on a 14" since then.
