WARNING: CHECK YOUR ACCOUNT. THEY "ACCELERATED" MY BILLING DATE TO JAN 14 2013. ar least based on what my account says.
SCAMMERS.
On a side note, not impressed with the selection, otherwise OK.

Our records show that you are participating in a six-month free trial of Hulu Plus that is only available to users who purchased eligible models of Sony TVs with a valid device code through the Sony TV promotion. Because you are not eligible for this offer we will automatically transfer your account to a free one-month trial of Hulu Plus on 11/21/2012.

We apologize for the inconvenience. No action is required on your end.

Please contact Hulu Support should you need any assistance.

Sincerely,
The Hulu Team

Credit card required.

Also asks for an activation code, does it make any difference whether or not I use one?

Cool, I'm in.

From their TOS: It is very important to understand that you will not receive a notice from Hulu that your free trial subscription has ended or that your paying subscription has begun. If you wish to avoid charges to your Payment Method, you must cancel Hulu Plus prior to midnight Eastern Time on the last day of your free trial period. You can cancel your account by going to Your Account, choosing to "edit" your subscription under "Billing Information" and clicking on the "cancel" option. We will continue to bill your Payment Method on a monthly basis for your subscription plan until you cancel or the account or service is otherwise suspended or discontinued pursuant to these Terms. You may cancel your subscription at anytime. To the extent Hulu Plus subscriptions are offered in conjunction with purchases of, or payment for, third party products or services, you agree that Hulu will not be liable to you for any claims arising out of or related to your purchase or use of such third party products or services.

So if you cancel before the 6-month free period ends, you lose your hulu plus access?

Just signed up with a "rebate" credit card. I'll use it for gas, and won't have to worry about cancellation. Thanks! Smilie

Just signed up and it worked fine. Use the gmail trick and I used my wife's info with a $10 VCC card and 2 month expiration. BRING IT HULU and I plan to use bing rewards to hit a decent amount in 6 months to get free service for a little bit longer.
