I suppose can continue the conversation from the Funniest Pics thread here, along with any other car talk..
That enzo is awesome. I spotted a 599GTO at F1 as well. There were a few people leaning up against it taking pics. If I was the owner I'd have been pissed.
BMW is bringing back the straight 6 for 2013 (or maybe 14).. They're doing a twin turbo version in the name of fuel economy. There was rumor about there being a third turbo in there too.

The SLS is pretty nuts, I have seen a couple on the streets and they sounds almost musclecar-ish. I also saw an Enzo at the car show (it was actually Cars & Coffee in Irvine CA which is pretty well known). I would like an older M3, the last one that had the inline-6. I have never been in one but they seem like they would be a lot of fun. Not really practical in New England though.
We should start an official "Car Chat" thread. |

I would love to know the past life of something like this, and the story of how it ended up where it is.

You're right, I bet there is a pretty great story behind it, but probably a fairly sad one.

It's only good as a template, maybe.

Yup I think the Petersen has a good selection of Ferraris and newer cars as they tend to rotate their cars on display. The Toyota GT is nice too, very classic lines like a Daytona.
The body would be great for templates, and those can be worth a ton of money for somebody who is missing parts and needs to make new ones from scratch!
With enough money and the right people, if that pile of metal is a famous car, it can from that to a million dollar car in a few years.
would buy the exhaust parts and go to a shop...not sure how much labor is on that but looking at roughly $900 in parts
as for the wheels i want: http://www.tirerack.co
roughly $900 after shipping etc, but i wouldnt have to take them somewhere and get robbed on labor.
i have to pick one or the other. really want the exhaust, but will need tires soon, and if i get new tires and no wheels, will have to wait like another 40k miles before i get another opportunity(want to buy the wheels/tires together)
in other news, i just washed my AEM dryflow filter the other day for the first time. also about to hit 6k on my oil, but mobil 1 goes to 7500 so whatever
