Target Chit Chat

This thread is being created so people -- generally, those people who can't seem to resist talking about off-topic junk in the Target coupon thread -- have a place to talk about shopping at Target and other miscellaneous matters.

All you folks who hang out in the Target coupon thread, start hanging out here instead! When you've got something relevant to post about Target coupons, please post about it in the Target coupon thread! We'd love to hear about it, but NOT about your dog, your cat, your mom, your genital herpes, your... well, you get the idea.

Thrifty~ I'm no expert but that looks like heat rash to me?? Every child's skin is different but that's what heat rash looks like on my kiddos.

An infant does not sweat. The sweat is held within the skin and forms little red bumps

HERE [about.com]is a good info site

I hope the acne and other issues clear up Thrifty.heart My youngest two were both intense babies that needed to be held a lot. Baby wearing has its great advantage. LMAO

Just dropping in a minute!

I had a great Target trip today! It's been really hard for me to shop at this Target, and I had just about given up. I went in determined and with 100% legit stuff. SCORE! Some things auto deducted, which was corrected, but that was FINE with me! I am really hoping that I am not classified with the other jerks who really ruined this store! It was by far a STC the run, and a very very minimal amount of overage, but that is not what I went in there for. So I am happy Smilie Plus I got DD some things she wanted for her birthday/christmas, so I am really happy!

Thrifty- He is SOOOO cute!

TN- Great invention! I think you have a fine understanding of Target.

Everyone else, hope all is well! Gotta run now, gotta go watch paint dry Wink I swear, next time I am hiring someone to paint! What made me take this on myself, I have NO clue! I do enjoy it, but not when I have to prime, prime, paint , paint, and then the Kilz makes me nauseated even with adequate ventilation, blah!

TN_native--that was a great post! You are definitely the winner. You tried to be creative. Wouldn't it be nice if every one was a guaranteed windshield? That's only guaranteed if the baby is with me and I hate bringing him and wasting his time when he could be at the park.

My binder is so light from the runs I did to get rid of q's. It's almost scary. I keep getting tempted to reorder but want to see what happens.

thrifty-poor LJ but you may want to email a pic to your pedi, not sure that's acne

Hey all. Haven't done too much posting lately. Back in school and things are really hectic. Not getting in the way of shopping but computer time is WAY down. Sigh.

Anyways: got an email from pampers today that said they are tripling wipes points through 11/5. Most of the codes from wipes don't get entered around here. Half the time I can't even read the damn numbers. But, I will be trying! Smilie
i can never even find the points on my wipes!!

4 weeks this past Sunday. His baby acne is in full force...and he lost most of his hair on his soft spot...he had dry skin there almost like dandruff...I google it and it is cradle cap. This poor kid can't catch a break...gassy, acne & now cradle cap. He is a wreck!

Oh and Mini just texted me that her BFF here in San Diego was just diagnosed with H1N1. Angry Mini comes home on the 25th and I wanted her BFF to spend the weekend with us...well that most likely will not happen because LJ & Mini do not need to catch the swine flu!
I can't believe it's been a month! Wow...

My dd had cradle cap. It cleared up after while, but it was kind ofarky. My kids had heat rash too - but I don't think they had the baby acne.

And YIPES! on the flu.

Okay, I guess that's it. LOL.. I managed to run out to 2 Wags tonight. Nothing else. I'm planning to hit up T tomorrow - but anything can change. Seems to be happening a lot lately.

Oh, youngest DD learned how to crawl out of her pack-n-play - finally. Guess we'll be transitioning to a bed soon. Nothing like the thud of a little body and pitter patter of cherubic looking (though over-tired demon acting) kiddo feet in the middle of the night to get one's adrenaline pumping.

I'm just quoting myself to ask "huh??" Seriously - I did not type that!

Aww Thrifty LJ is too cute!! He looks like a little doll, the acne will go away... my son had baby acne... they told me to keep washing his face as he was slobbery and sweating alot....

Ank... don't feel bad about your littlest one getting out of the pack and play... I felt horrid but my dd decided she didn't want to sit in her crib and flipped over and out... she cried than started crawling/walking all around and I came to her room and asked what she did she said "ot oh" She is 1 year and 2 months Smilie

I knew who it was going to be from, just didn't know which thread.. laugh out loud

Thrifty, LJ is soooooo cute. His eyes are gorgeous!!![/QUOTE]

That's what I was going to say!!

Okay since we have lots of new mom's and mom's to be on this thread want to ask you all a question.

Why is it that all the new young Mom's want to know what the sex of their child is going to be? My DD want's to know and I'm like that takes all the fun and surprise out of it, so then she agreed, but now is rethinking that idea and told me, Mom if you know what the sex is just think of all the things you can buy at Target!!

I'm old so knowing what the sex is wasn't even a factor when I was having kids, so honestly why do you want to know? I'm NOT trying to say it's good or bad, I'm just honestly wondering, is it because you can prepare better, like clothes, color of the room etc? My DD can decide whatever she wants to do, I'm just trying to understand that's all.

Please no one take offense to this, some want to know and some don't. I'm just wondering from those of you that do, why that's all.

FYI - If any of you have kids, nieces or ?? that want to go to the Miley Cyrus concert (if it's near you) but can't afford the tickets, check Ticketmaster the morning before the concert, today I got an email that said they were having a "back to school Miley Mania - tickets were $25!! "

I had advertised my one extra floor seat on Craigslist, and seen all these young single moms advertising for cheap tickets so I posted the link that I got, and received 7 emails from mom's saying "thank you" that they were able to get tickets that they couldn't otherwise afford.
So just saying, if you know anyone, tell them about the above, it should probably happen in all the cities shes playing in.

Did a small run at the Target I never go to (it's the first one on my drive down from Canada) as they don't like coupons normally.
I was actually going to look for this BBQ that I wanted that was 75% off at one store and I didn't buy it.. argh, but they said this store had 5 of them 2 days ago. Went 75% off yesterday all BBQ gone. Sadwalk but I did get a 2 seater bench for $14, some of those stackable chairs for $7.48 that someone else mentioned, 2 of those fake rattan/glass endtables for $7.48 and a bunch of raid, clip on refills and such for .98cents.

Only used coupons on 5 razors that I bought, so $111 oop. EEK! haven't spent that much oop in a long time. Used a GC though, so not really oop.. laugh out loud

Plan on leaving my friends at noon, it's almost a 2hr drive to Tacoma, then hit up a Target down there, never shopped at one down there before so I hope they are friendly.. then take them for supper and go park early!!! I hear trying to get into this venue is horrendous...

BTW - can anyone tell me what family OFF is in. Last week a coupon attached to one of those clip on mosquito things and I have no idea which one it was.

Okay I think that's long enough.. Belated Birthday wishes to all that I missed.
