This thread is being created so people -- generally, those people who can't seem to resist talking about off-topic junk in the Target coupon thread -- have a place to talk about shopping at Target and other miscellaneous matters.

All you folks who hang out in the Target coupon thread, start hanging out here instead! When you've got something relevant to post about Target coupons, please post about it in the Target coupon thread! We'd love to hear about it, but NOT about your dog, your cat, your mom, your genital herpes, your... well, you get the idea.

Wow 75 lbs for a single child pregnancy..I gained that much with twins..
But was her one child close to the weight of your twins, added together?

At the time he was born, he was the second largest child the hospital had EVER seen. Natural childbirth, as one pain in the middle of the night and her water broke. In less than 2 hours, he was here... GRAVITY.

A friend of my sister's gain 100 lbs. EEK! The woman had been anorexic before and was so concerned about the whole weight gain issue that she decided to just eat whatever she wanted. . . .

A friend of mine gained 60 lbs. and her baby was definitely on the large side. It's strange now non-standardized pre-natal care can be on this matter. When my friend told me that she had gained all that weight, she said that they hadn't even been weighing her, and finally she had to bring it up to her doctor who was kind of like Dontknow

Meanwhile, I had to step on the scale first thing at every visit, and my weight was evaluated and loudly discussed among at least two nurses and my midwife each time. I remember one visit, right after I came back from Europe, I had gained more weight than usual and like four people were discussing it. I had to go into the bathroom and cry. Crying2 I'm like, geez, you really want to poke a giant pregnant lady while she's down??? laugh out loud

You're gonna hate me...

After my first dd was born - 9.8 lbs, 22 inches - I weighed 8 lbs less than before I was pregnant (and I ate like a horse) post partum.

After 2nd DD - 7lbs 7 oz, 21 1/2 inches - I weighed 5 lbs more than pre-pregnancy 2 weeks post partum.

I think pregnancy weight gain was around 35ish pounds for each.

Out of curiousity with all the baby talk, we all get LOTS of pet foods... what kind of critters do we have?

I have a fennec fox, pending lemur, siamese cat, and an english bulldog pup

Ank-- I hate you J/K LOL

I actually LOST weight during my first 2 pregnancies.. my first I was sick for the first 5 months and needed an IV at least once a week Frown But after 20weeks.. I was fine and STILL lost. Dr said that some womens metabolism speeds up during pregnancy. My first was 5lbs 10oz at 33w5d, 2nd was 5lbs 12oz at 34w3 days. But right after I had them, I gained all that weight back Frown 3rd and 4th I gained about 15lbs

Ha! Same thing happened to me, and I wasn't that big either. I wasn't gaining any weight each visit 2-3 lbs if that, and they didn't say a lot, just that I should be eating and gaining a little more. Then I gained 10 lbs and all hell broke loose with all the nurses- nutritionists to be found discussing it. laugh out loud Egads you'd have thought I weighed 300 lbs, when I only weighed 139 lbs. Like you it made me feel bad and I probably didn't eat as much till my next visit when I didn't gain any weight again and they didn't say much again.

Wait...pets? No one has any pets. Pet food, yes.

ETA---you're not feeding a lemur and a fennec fox dog and cat food, are you? I'm no expert, but that wouldn't seem like it would work. Don't they have special food, like Lemur Chow?

meeshecat, DH and I had English bulldogs and raised 2 litters..tough breed , plain ole dumb(brain size smaller than a pea). pups delivered by c-section and I always assisted the vet during surgery- to work on and stimulate the pups. We now have an Australian shep. - wanted a dog with a nose laugh out loud and she is as smart as Lassie-big difference in breeds.

for those of you that have Wags, hope you got in on the triaminic and OAD deals
