Target Chit Chat

This thread is being created so people -- generally, those people who can't seem to resist talking about off-topic junk in the Target coupon thread -- have a place to talk about shopping at Target and other miscellaneous matters.

All you folks who hang out in the Target coupon thread, start hanging out here instead! When you've got something relevant to post about Target coupons, please post about it in the Target coupon thread! We'd love to hear about it, but NOT about your dog, your cat, your mom, your genital herpes, your... well, you get the idea.

was that the smash and grab thread?

hey double...I see that ds is not doing well. Pray that he gets better soon hug

Question for Waggers....I see where people get tons of stuff w/ RR deals...but the WAGS FAQ thread says only one RR deal per transaction. For ex: the vaseline stuff this week 6.99 get 6.99 RR. I can only buy 1 bottle per transaction, right? if I get 4 bottles, I will still only get 6.99, right?

So my question is this....I've seen where people order cases of stuff to buy. Do you make multiple transactions in one trip, or do you keep going back to wags during the week...I see pics on the one thread of tons of stuff and I don't know how they are getting that much unless they are going to the store a gazillion times during the week, or ringing up each item as a separate transaction.

I'm trying to decide if WAGS would be worth trying out, but I really don't have time to go to a store every day for one item.
wondering which thread as well....Scratchchin

I'm not sure of the method at Walgreens. You can only get one RR I know and you can't use that RR to get another RR on the same item. So far, the WAGS thing has went over my head and I'm too tired with too many headaches to really figure it out Frown

Can someone PM me if you know the trick to getting more of the blinkie coupons? I found b2g1 Purina ones the other day and only got a few b/c the machine was slow as molasses!
Last week I was doing maintenance in the stores for the ads & q machines....when I got to the pedigree machine, the front part that holds the coupons was ripped off entirely, only the back part attached to the shelf was left. I had to laugh a lot over that. Someone walked away with 200 blinkies. Smilie

I guess those ma'ing posts doesn't want people to know what happens with some MQ's, which wouldn't bother me except they are probably using the same coupons themselves. Or they have in the past, and their store doesn't allow anymore.
OR (and this is just a thought, as I am NOT the MA-happy person), they are aware that the reds read this thread, and something in the posts in question gave away too many secrets.

The end may be nigh...but it'll get nigher if we're not careful.

Just sayin'...

Joke 'em if they can't take a fark...

Last year when the $2 glade blinkies were out, I found the SS machine just lying on a shelf on that aisle. I thought the same thing that someone had done a jack move on it, but lo and behold, it was still full of cpns! There must have been 200 cpns in it. I left the whole thing there and didnt take a one. It cracks me up because I occasionally see references in the DS threads to how harsh the T thread can be. In addition to the different "rules" I just think there is a different "culture" for shopping at T... not sure if that makes any sense.

Teri, wags can be a huge pain, but can also be a windfall - you should try it to see how you like it. The tough part is that you have to stay on top of your RRs because they expire in 2 weeks. If you're lucky, you'll be able to roll them into GCs. If you're not lucky in that way (like me), it can be more challenging. As SB said - only one RR per deal will be generated per trans, but you can do a bunch of deals in a single trans, and then do additional transactions. But unless you have a really understanding store, it will probably mean many trips if you want to get a lot of items. I normally do about 10 wags runs per week (average) and will do 2 transactions per run at about half those. I almost never do more than 2 per run.

HH just put together a new Wags "how to" thread (or FAQ, not sure)... I haven't read it but there should be lots of info in there. And you know that your TCC peeps and friends are always happy to sit around the fire and help with wags ?'s. hug

Ok, that wraps it up for me LMAO I am not prepared to do 10 trips a week EEK! I don't have enough WAGS near me to make that cost effective and I'll not go to the same store 10 times per week.

deadline is three hours and I haven't heard anything yet :nailbiting:

It's a catch22 I guess...those who contribute will get MA'ed eventually.
Everyone has a different theory about information exposure and use/misuse of coupons.
To each his own.

That being said, I might as well air my own dirty laundry...I got lots of pats on the back about my post about sizes. I also got a few saying (in a nice way hug) why they feel I should voluntarily remove it. I chose to voluntarily remove it but was MA'd before I could. A friendly mod warning. I also immediately pm'ed (before she even had a chance to put me on the ignore list, if indeed she did) XXXX to talk in private, but got nothing. So I washed my hands of it.

There is a group who believes one way and a group who believes the other. Just because you feel one way doesn't mean everyone does. You'd be surprised nod

It's the whole pot~kettle syndrome.

So its a new day here in TCC. Grouphug

Makes perfect sense to me. You better put on your armor suit to venture into the DS threads LMAO The DS threads used to be wonderful. Everyone posted scenarios and there wasn't all the jumping on people about coupons. WTH is wrong with those people??? They are probably using the same coupons that they are calling people out on..I don't get it at all. Nono2

don't forget the third group, the one I'm in. the "all things in moderation group" Personally, I think the size thing is ok, but when it becomes a problem for some it becomes a problem for all. In the end, if it is removed by a mod, then it probably shouldn't be there.

I would like to think we are all 'family' here and that we would ask via PM before we MA so as not to offend or hurt someones feelings. The best thing about the members here is that they have always taken the time to explain things to me, whether it's about coupon usage or to let me know I've posted something I shouldn't.

I hope we can all continue to get along here. I don't like the turn the thread is taking, and I hope we can let it go and get on with being nice to one another.

When a post gets MAed, is the post automatically removed or is it discretionary? I think if it's the latter, then yes, I agree, if it's removed it probably shouldn't have been there to begin with...

The mod is supposed to review the post and decide if it is inappropriate.
