This thread is being created so people -- generally, those people who can't seem to resist talking about off-topic junk in the Target coupon thread -- have a place to talk about shopping at Target and other miscellaneous matters.

All you folks who hang out in the Target coupon thread, start hanging out here instead! When you've got something relevant to post about Target coupons, please post about it in the Target coupon thread! We'd love to hear about it, but NOT about your dog, your cat, your mom, your genital herpes, your... well, you get the idea.

BTW, interesting to see elderberry tossed around here as my lab teacher was just talking about the trials done showing it binds w/ h1n1. I think there's a weed root growing in China that does the same thing.
Interesting...maybe I should get back on my daily Sambucol routine.

Used some Qs.
Left Happy.
Couldn't figure out why my b3g1 candy Q acted funny and then I realized it was a 19 and was looking for another friend to hang out with. laugh out loud No glade set up at my little T, but that didn't stop a bunch of asshats from ramsacking the tins anyways. Damn, people suck.

I'm a bit stupy with stuff like this...is this a good thing or bad thing? I just took a Sambucol earlier today after remembering that I had it and feeling a bit run down (too many college kids are sick and coming into the office!!! Annoyed)...should I not have? Or should I keep going? Confused

lol. you are going to be so under-impressed. my MIL gave me a couple of the trick or treat books for wendys when she was here. They are $2 and you get 10 free frostys if you buy it. I have been *buying* 1 every couple of days and giving some to DS and freezing the rest

I am so freaking out about a job interview I have on friday. I am going through my closet and all my suits are size 8. Sigh. I am squeezing in them (with pain) and it don't look good. Rofl2 havent been size 8 since DS#1 almost 2 yrs ago. Is it bad that I am so worried about a *possible* employer that might hire me? It is an unpaid internship for JD credit. I Havent gone on an interview in 3 years. Is it totally inappropriate for me to wear a dress? For reference, I have the black, rufully, sleeveless mossimo dress. I was thinking with nice heels (got those) and a red or tan 3/4 coat. Sorry for asking so many questions but DH and DS are my fashion advisors vomit
I'm no fashion consultant but the dress and jacket combo sounds really cute and appropriate to me (it sounds so cute I want it! :heart mossimo!).

I could be wrong here but I'm pretty sure it's a good thing. If the elderberry binds to the virus then that stops it from binding to you and your body can flush it out of your system or destroy it.

Aren't the candles $2.50 though? If they are the jar candles I'm thinking of anyway....wouldn't a $3 q cause beeps or is it auto adjusting to them somehow??? I'm really wanting some of those glass candles that are on the gc deal but can't find the qs to use on them! any advice?

I was totally flummuxed paid way more than I wanted to took my stuff and left.

Anyone homeschool - I have about had it with the AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAASSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS who is the principal at JRo's school Head Bang Head Bang Head Bang
I have had several runs like that lately.. hate it!

And yep on the homeschooling. Been going strong for 9 years now.. of course, I feel like the head banging smiley alot of days, but I wouldn't trade the last 9 years for anything! My oldest graduates this year, and my baby won't start school officially for another 3+ years. I told my DH that I will be retirement age by the time I get these kids schooledlaugh out loudlaugh out loud

My store did not have the holiday display up yet, but had the signs on the shelf by some items.. no holiday tins to be found, and our glass candles were marked with the GC sign, but said they were 2.99, not 2.50Confused

hi there! I don't have the exact resources from my teacher with me right now, but I believe this site does a good job explaining:

http://sciencestage.com/resources...tion-vitro

Quote :
A recent research study has given new scientific evidence to the long-held empirical belief that elderberries possess antiviral activities. The research involved a specific, reproducible elderberry extract developed by HerbalScience Group LLC, and succeeded in identifying key chemical components of the extract that inhibited in vitro infection and were shown to bind directly to Human Influenza A (H1N1) virus particles. The binding blocked the ability of the viruses to enter host cells, and thereby effectively preventing H1N1 infection in vitro.
Makes me want to go get some elderberry! It's not a bad thing in general anyways. I've also been looking into the effect of vitamin D deficiency and complications from the flu...apparently a deficiency inhibits macrophage behavior which represses the body's ability to detox. So it might be a good idea to take a high quality vit D3 supplement along w/ the elderberry, as otherwise you're going to have a bunch of carp floating around and no one able to take out the garbage! LMAO

Yes - ish... lol. The oldest is 13, and my youngest is 2 - so technically she's not in school - BUT I work with her on reading, letters, numbers, colors, shapes, counting, small adding/subtracting, etc... It's all fun and games for her right now - kind of part of our daily life and worked into our day - not formal yet for the baby.

I homeschooled my oldest from K-mid 2nd, then from 4th-now (7th). If there's anything I regret, it's that stint in public school. Unfortunately, I didn't have much of a choice at the time - or at least, none that I was aware of. *shrug* It took a lot of undoing, but we're back at it.

We started in Ohio, and now we are schooling in TN.
