This thread is being created so people -- generally, those people who can't seem to resist talking about off-topic junk in the Target coupon thread -- have a place to talk about shopping at Target and other miscellaneous matters.

All you folks who hang out in the Target coupon thread, start hanging out here instead! When you've got something relevant to post about Target coupons, please post about it in the Target coupon thread! We'd love to hear about it, but NOT about your dog, your cat, your mom, your genital herpes, your... well, you get the idea.

Very general and high level overview... a virus binds to receptor proteins on the surface of various types of cells. Once the virus binds to a cell, it can "hijack" the cell and use it to make more copies of itself. If you have something that is binding to the virus, then it cannot attach to cells, replicate, and infect additional cells.

Fun stuff Wink
Uh oh, looks like we've got a smarty-pants in our midst. laugh out loud

I really need to start doing this! Gotta find the thread.

I'm so tired, I need to get to bed but I think I will just lie there and think to much. My grandma just passed at about 8:30. I'm 14 hours away. It's so sad but good in the way that she is not in pain anymore and her and grandpa are together once again. She has been in very poor health for a long time and in so much pain. You know that stage where they become like an infant again. She kept forgetting she couldn't walk, she tried to get out of bed and broke her arm and four ribs. She was at home and had 24 hour care but somehow tried to get out of bed anyway and wasn't stopped. That was two days ago and today she was released from the pain.
hug I'm so sorry for your loss. It's so hard to deal with a person just suddenly not being there.

I will PM you - I am in Wisconsin - and I kid you not - the Principal of the school and the social worker SHOWED UP at my house without calling/emailing/contacting me in any way ... waking up the baby with their ringing the doorbell ------ to ASK ME WHERE MY SON WAS. He was AT SCHOOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They stood there and told me he was not at school (even though I had dropped him off in the morning) and after I repeatedly told them that he was there )per the instructions of the Principal who wants him there spreading his germs to all the other kiddos they finally left. I picked my son up FROM SCHOOL that afternoon .... no apologies from the principal he hasn't spoken to me since. The superintendent of our school district says it is common practice for the principal to show up unannounced and uninvited to people's houses whose children are sick and have missed seven school days. WTH is this school district doing??? They actually lost him the first day - then they come to my house and tell me he isn't at school when he is --- WTH! Sorry ------ rant over!
Yikes!! That is just. . . I have no words. Talk about boundary issues.

You know we are not even allowed (by law) to speak to our students' parents, even if the parents seek us out. (Of course, these students are over 18.) It's quite awkward trying to tell a parent, sorry, you gotta ask your kid about that. Blush2

Here's the run down of my day so far - drop off DS at school, hit the blinkie machines at K for Glade, Dr. apt, run in Food Lion and find display of jar candles... hit those green peelies like a badger in heat, run in T that is not so close to me and do a little glad-aying, head back to pick up DS and pass another FL (again with the badgering of the peelies), pick up DS and home for lunch.

Damn. No wonder I'm tired.

When I got home I told DH that he could never run for public office because I'm sure groceries stores throughout town have me on video getting peelies and such. I mean, Michelle Obama may have shopped at Target, but I doubt she ever whipped a swiss army knife out of her purse and tried to break into a blinkie machine. laugh out loud
laugh out loud and you are Superman Seriously!! I always wonder where you find the energy. Smilie

Dec12girl-- I would be VERY shocked and surprised to see the principal at my doorstep...I would be pissed especially if he is IN school...My kids over course of time (a year or so) have MISSED several days of school.. my kids have asthma and I will NOT risk them getting more sick by sending them to school. Our school system does not do anything like coming around unannounced... they call you on the phone and ask if everything is ok... do you live in an area that has many problem kids (NOT yours other kids)... where dropout rate is high? Even so, this seems EXTREME with how young he is!! Sorry that this is happening!! HUGS!!

OK, sorry everyone for my stupid double post, but I just farked everything up.

Baby is ok just liked being swaddled in the swing. He ate and we played now he wants to be held for his daily tour of the house. My legs feel like jello. Body aches and chills. He's chillin with me in bed. Bad news from DH - he's not feeling any better and said he's coming home straight to bed. What are we going to do with the baby tonight? I'm scared!
OMG, I so hear you. I swear I wore a groove in our living room carpet from this. . . bouncing him around the house while I sang along to "150 Best Songs for Kids." Best $.99 I ever spent, but I neveh eveh want to hear those damn songs again!

Quote from sungoddess7 :
Oh yeah! Forgot to mention (this might be old news...) that Whole Foods have a booklet out with coupons near the dairy area on a little cardboard stand. The booklet is grey with a child on the cover "Save on shopping. Save kids' lives." It has "over $40 of coupons inside." Linky [vitaminangels.org]

My fav coupon is the Stonyfield one, B1G1 6oz cup of Stonyfield YoBaby Meals Organic Yogurt (552159227147). I also like the Celestial Seasonings one as well, $1 off any box of tea. There are also coupons for Seventh Generation ($1 off any package diapers, $1 off wyb 2 Seventh Gen products) and Good Belly (never tried this, is it good?) B1G1 any GoodBelly Quart or 4pk (591770000142).

So, I used the Stonyfield coupon at WF on the meals yogurt (just trying out the product since it has veggies in them!). Bought two, no probs with the coupon. Printed on the lid of the yogurt containers (tin foil) says "B2G1 FREE with coupon under lid! " so after feeding DD one of the containers this morning for bfast (the Peach/Squash combo one - she loved it!), I see the coupon (B2G1 6oz YoBaby Meals, 552159227161). Good coupon! nod

HTH!!
Wow, those are great Qs!! I need to hit WF anyway since I've got a raincheck for some organic pears (for baby food) so I'll have to lookie.

OK, I've tried three times to upload a photo here and it's not working. Ranting I'll try again later, but in the meantime, gluttons for punishment can go here [shutterfly.com] and see a bajillion photos of my boy.

Glade display was in the process of being assembled when I got there...there was no signage up or anything..just a red pulling stuff out of her cart. Needless to say, I helped her unpack LMAO

Had a great run. Used a lot of coupons, it all went well. I had 1 issue with some dog biscuits I thought were on sale, but other than that...all's well.

SB - Your pics are so so so sweet! Your son it tooo cute & you are too Smilie Very beautiful family!!!

Meesh, Ank, SB - yup I am so upset by this and other goings on at the school --- I don't know if there is a high dropout rate? It doesn't seem as if there would be ... I have NO idea ... but since I live in "The People's Republic of Wisconsin" I believe it has more to do with those in charge believing that they know better.

QQueen - it is GREAT to see you!!! You have been missed!!!!!! hug

Mama2Cole - it is getting so close and you are still being a badger! You should really be in Wisconsin you know ROFL! Thanks for the laugh - hope you are hanging in hug

Ank - I hope that you find the coffee maker - crossing my fingers!!!

Dpags & Meg - any word yet? Crossing fingers!!!!!

Lisa - Sorry you haven't heard from Target yet ... still thinking positive thoughts!

Tots5 - I have only heard of that for amounts over $10 as well .... hmmmmmmm

Thrifty - How are you feeling today? Any better? Sending GET WELL hugs!!!

Nik - I am sorry I missed your post about your loss - I am very sorry! Sending HUGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

IANAA - LOL ok let me rephrase ... what would the appeal be if you had to pay for them? My kiddos have Tinkertoys & K'Nex & Lego and they do like those ... is this worth embarking on buying the Trios or are they very similar (except for stepping on them - I know those Lego hurt like a MOFO!!!!)

Tootsie - I am glad that someone got my reference!!!! Really that is what I keep thinking when I see Elderberry bandied about! LOL

Mama2Twins - How are your kiddos doing??? Are they any better? How did you fare? Did you go down with it too? Hope all is well!! HUGS

Setsail - I was thinking that exact thing when I read that article - I tried to post it here a couple of days ago as a laugh with all the coupons about ... but I have issues with stuff like that methinks! LOL

And I thought I would post a pic of my son - Wink

Dia, the pic is so funny. I remember when DS started doing the pledge at home a couple of days after starting preschool. So cute heart

About the Trios, I got them as they were very cheap a couple of months ago at K laugh out loud Most of them will be given as gifts (birthdays & christmas). On saturday, we will be attending 2 birthdays and both boys are getting the Trios nod

I've done Wags and CVS for about 2-3 years, can answer questions if anyone has any, too.. but I got tired of trying to keep it all straight and just cashed out all ECBs and RRs about 4 months ago. laugh out loud I think I'm too tired to get back in the game right now, especially with a move coming up plus all the holidays..
