Ok, I need some clarification... I returned something to an out of the way ST (was in the area) that I had used an mq on (well, technically I didn't use a coupon on the item but one of the coupons for another item attached to this one Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)), I don't normally return things that I've used coupons on but this item turned out to be something we really did not need. The CS person subtracted out the coupon value from the price of the item and gave me the difference back. This is the first time that has happened (although, like I said earlier, I don't usually return stuff I've used coupons on) and so I asked her what she was doing. She said that since I used a coupon, she had to give me the difference. She also said that the register did it automatically. I was Confused as I could have sworn I saw her adjust the price of the item (watched her punch in $6.49 - the item was $8.49). I asked her if the regsiter did it automatically, then why did she just punch in the numbers? She said that she had to 'verify' the price. I wasn't going to raise a stink over $2, but what is Target's official policy on refunds where coupons (mq's) were used? Do the registers do the adjustments automatically (I don't think it does, but I could be wrong)? I've read that some people experience the adjusting and others just get the full value back. I've tried to search around T's website, but their returns info is so freakin' vague! Also, I really dislike it when people outright lie to me...which I have a hunch this girl did. Thanks for any input you guys have!

Not only do I want my kids to help others - because they need the help - but I want my kids to be generous of heart & although my son has a BIG heart and is the first to give hugs and help someone when they get hurt ... he is not as good at giving up material goods. So this will be challenging and I will specifically be looking for a card for him where he would be giving something he himself would like. Anyway - just wanted to give kudos to you for all you do for your daughter AND your community!!!!!!! hug

I don't think that there is an "official" policy in writing somewhere - however - if you are wanting to stand your ground (realize they will then know you) they get the money for that coupon and unless they return that coupon to you they must return the value of the coupon or they are getting paid twice for that coupon which would be unjust - There are those on here who are FAR more learned than am I ... HoratioHoney from the WAGS thread may be able to give you some tips as well.

So I know some of you sell your stockpile - does anyone use any other auction site besides ebay? I stopped selling on them earlier this year because I was getting sick of their fees and whatnot (well, that and toting three kids around just wasn't cutting it! Big Grin), but I'd like to try again maybe with another site. Has anyone found success elsewhere? I know I've researched it in the past but can't remember now what I thought about the different ones...

Was almost the bug tonight, but salvaged it enough to be sort of the windshield. Big Grin The cashier was new and got nervous with the blinkies and inputting the price. And the mgr, who is actually really cool about coupons, seems to think that Target made their registers so super-smart that they deduct the cost of the item MINUS the value of the gift card. Confused shake head I thought for a brief moment about educating the both of them as to why exactly the coupon was not going through, but then thought better of it. laugh out loud Can't be sharing all my secrets!!

I can't wait for the coupons this weekend - no more stinkin' beeps!! I've gone through all my plugins BOGOs, so I'm stuck with the blinkies until I can replenish. Sucks, but oh well.

Hubby coaches a jr. high basketball team, and they start up practices next week. Not really looking forward to that!! Takes up so much time, but I know he loves doing it, so I can't really complain. Takes a very special person to deal with jr high kids like that, and he does such a great job. He tells me stories about the boys and it drives me crazy!!! But he's very patient with them, and is great at teaching them the fundamentals. So anyway, add to that the fact that he's hoping to be cleared for a second job any day now, plus add in my own home business, and our lives are going to get pretty hectic here. I feel like its literally the calm before the storm. look around

Oh..and the saddest story.
A couple of weeks ago, one of our outside cats was hit by a car and killed. We had two outside cats...brothers. The brother that is still with us has been lonely for his brother.

When my son found the cat that was hit, he went and got a shovel and brought the cat to the state property across the road from us. He covered him up with grass and leaves etc. Now all of this is sad, and unfortunately a common thing around our rural home.

This morning, DH went out to start the vehicles and warm them up. He tripped over something...looked down and there was our recently deceased cat in our driveway. He had tripped over it. Frown Lying right next to it was his brother.

We can only come up with one scenario....our cat dragged his brother home? There's no other explanation. Poor guy.

But I still just can't quite believe that he would do that? The deceased cat was not out in plain site...at all.
