Target Chit Chat

This thread is being created so people -- generally, those people who can't seem to resist talking about off-topic junk in the Target coupon thread -- have a place to talk about shopping at Target and other miscellaneous matters.

All you folks who hang out in the Target coupon thread, start hanging out here instead! When you've got something relevant to post about Target coupons, please post about it in the Target coupon thread! We'd love to hear about it, but NOT about your dog, your cat, your mom, your genital herpes, your... well, you get the idea.

I had one years ago and really liked it. It was much easier to use than a commercial unit, did as good if not better job, and was easy to use. I would say go for it!

I looked at the ad and they do look a little different but very similar to the one I had. I was going to answer you sooner, but thought you might hear from people who had newer models than mine was.

I haven't owned one in years due to having hard wood now, but the Bissell we used to have worked great! Much better in fact than the other brands like Dirt Devil, etc. Held up and did the job well. HTH! Give a try nod

The $149 Bissell ProHeat? We bought one last year and it works pretty well. Have beige carpet, 4 kids, and it comes fairly clean.
I was shooting for the $199 one, the ProHeat 2x. Looks to have a wider track, and a few more options.

What cleaner are you using in it? The carpets aren't stained or such like that. The main factor is doing it to remove allergens from the carpet (specifically dust). I've been begging for hardwood floors, but that will be next year before we will do it.

Thanks! I actually love the commercial ones that they use here, super easy to use (not the rug doctors), but they are $49 per 24 hours. I could have bought a brand new dyson, a steam cleaner, and a new wardrobe for what I have spent Embarrassment

Thanks also Smilie

I'm hoping for hard wood floors, I really want them or pergo. At least in a few of the rooms. We live on a dirt road, and with DD"s allergies, it's quite the vicious cycle. You have to do what you have to do though Smilie

She is a rat terrier rescue dog from Tennessee. She has a great temperment and pretty much lets the kids do what they will - she had a ski hat on yesterday. Big Grin She also thinks she is a cat and will sleep on the back of the couch like they do. We have five cats and a couch that normally holds three of them and the dog on the back cushions. God help you if you actually want to lean back! Stick Out Tongue

I am going to sleep after this:

PM to DevilMomma:

Like I knew that

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

--- First next time you can send a PM to threat me.... second I did not knew that... If I have known that I would have come back with another smart ass remark like ... " I guess that explain... they did forgot to put the grey matter there ... " of course I did not do that...
Pm to ArielA
Quote :
Sorry I did not knew about your brain surgury

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Not that you care, but I am sorry about your surgury and about making a comment about your brain. I will not have done it knowing that you have had brain surgury. Of course, you can do what ever you want with my apology.
For all the ones that care to make your own interpretation... And to grant the request from some of the very friendly PM ...

PUBLIC apology to ArielA:

I did not knew about your surgury! I would have never said something so harsh otherwise... and I would have not comment anything if it wasn't for all the remarks and quotes that I got emailed while I was out making references to me and other people of the board (not this forum). I have nothing against you, actually to be more honest, I did not had even heard of you until I was sent the copy of a thread in which you were asking things... most of them still on the board... when I came, I make a comment about something and you jump at me trolling you, which I did not thought I did!

Again, I have my special reasons to respect someone with a brain surgury... (not that I care to share after all the batching and asshatting around), but my APOLOGY is sincere to you... anyone else that commented and wants an apology too, can consider this one an apology to them as well...

Good Night... and by the way, do not quote me here, if you do not want me to post here...

Wow, looks like I have been away from the drama all evening.. I have only been on this thread about 6 months, but doesn't it seem like every few weeks someone pops in and causes drama??

Anyway, went to target tonight.. used a ton of qs.. left reasonably happy, yet a little confused (think I may have bobbled up coupon order).. worse thing is, I think I left one of my 5.00 GC on the counter.. I can't find it anywhere. My hubby says "it is only 5.00, let it go".. but it was MY 5.00Mad On the positive note, I found the 25.00 mouse cards and a ton of clearance halloweenCool And I am definitely swimming in ocean spray juice, guess I can float on glade candles.
I used the GC coupon for windex/scrubbing bubbles and all of my cans had 2.00/2 peelies on themBig Grin

M2C - glad to here you are coming home tomorrow. I know you can't wait to see Cole too!

Thrifty - hope LJ sleeps better tonight!

Wishing all those who feel under the weather a special "healing" night of sleephug

Ohhhhhhh, we had a rescue dog that was rat terrier -- or at least mostly -- she was a dump dog, she didn't exactly come with a pedigree. We still refer to her as the "best little dog EVER". It's been about 7 months and we still can't talk about her without tearing up.

Pinole.

A little bit of drive but might be worth it. That store is usually fairly friendly if I recall. I think some of their items are higher priced though, like diapers. I haven't been there in a while though.

What a cutie! Your cat looks just like one of ours, I had to go check ours LOL. BTW my DD dresses up the cat LMAO and the cat LIKES it! She's got a bumble bee costume, a rooster, a shark, a lady bug, a pirate, and a sundress. I'm trying to find a suitable one for winter now EEK!

Cute, cute doggie!!! I have a part Rat, part Beagle.... she's a BARKER (which I understand is the Beagle in her) - she has beagle coloring too. But the rest is all Rat! She sleeps up on the back of the couch too!! The best is when she burrows up underneath the blankets. That's her absolute favorite place to sleep - under MY blankets, in the bend of my legs - I understand this to be a rat trait. Does yours do this? I suppose many people don't let their dogs up on their beds....
