This thread is being created so people -- generally, those people who can't seem to resist talking about off-topic junk in the Target coupon thread -- have a place to talk about shopping at Target and other miscellaneous matters.

All you folks who hang out in the Target coupon thread, start hanging out here instead! When you've got something relevant to post about Target coupons, please post about it in the Target coupon thread! We'd love to hear about it, but NOT about your dog, your cat, your mom, your genital herpes, your... well, you get the idea.

Need some Wii help.. I put aside $200 out of Glade GC's to get the "family" a Wii for Christmas.. I have about 12 games already 'bought' for them.. stuff they like. I figured stuff like bowling we could play as a family. I figure since I have time now, it would be a fun family activity. Any tips on what other things I should get for it? I got 2 games that came with wheels... (Mario and I think Madagascar racing). Extra controlers? Any family games that we HAVE to have?? Is bowling included in a pack? I thought so... I want to be able to set this up on Christmas and have everything.. and play! Thanks guys!!
Four controllers, four nunchucks...based on the way my siblings squeeked over the M&M racing game that one is worth it lol.

My kids go back to the M&Ms cart racing game, Mario Cart, the Lego based series (Indiana Jones, Star Wars, and Batman) and even some of the Wii Fit stuff. We have Dance Revolution (okay, it's mine actually Blush3) and a bunch of other games that need to be traded in but there are favorites among all the kids. I picked up a bunch of the B2G1 games last week, the 75% off games this week, and even threw in the new Super Mario Bros which I think we will all enjoy. Smilie

You will need extra remotes for sure and the nunchucks are necessary for some games like boxing in Wii Sports.

I wonder if Target asked HCW and OGD not to put up the latest Qs. I don't know Pennywatcher (mod for the Target Generator) that well, or I'd ask her. Scratchhead Will this open up a new market on fleabay for PRINTED Target Qs (or insert Target Qs)... how would you know if the printable ones hadn't just be copied (similar to the problem with copying Bricks Qs)?

I hate it for you folks, but I'm still loving Publixing with the TQs. The SIL shouldn't have to buy another CFL lightbulb for a couple of years, as I've been buying three 2 pks every time I walk in the store. Just tonight I used the apple Q, the bakery Q, and 3 $2 Light bulb Qs, along with a $5 off $40 Southern Family Market, a free Little Debbie and a Free Bacon competitors. Walked out paying a little over $17 (down from $48).

Thank you SB for the peelie alert on the Ocean Spray. Just about all OS products go on sale here at P tomorrow, and now I have four $1/1 peelies to use.
I have the $2 TQ for GE lightbulbs, is there a Publix Q as well? I need light bulbs (especially after paying $12 for 3 floodlights yesterday Shocking) and our Publix is better about taking TQ than their own Qs! Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)

Dia--Heinz? as in the frozen foods blinkie one? Or is there something else? If its the blinkie one, let me know and I'll run by Publix and get you some! Don't be bidding on it.....

Actually, I better make sure they are still up before I go promising them to people..... Smilie

For anyone who wants the Tag reader, its on sale at Kohls this week for 34.99 (or so I've heard), so you can price-match at Target and only pay $14.99. Not too bad. I'm thinking about getting it for my 4-yr-old. Just not sure if the books are ones he will like.

The ICBINB IPs have reset, and I was able to print 5 this morning!! Big Grin linky [coupons.com]

You can't use a PQ and a TQ on the same item, but you can use a PQ and an MQ or a TQ and an MQ on each item (provided your Q count isn't more than your item count).

Sorry about replying to myself, but I think this info is important to this thread.

This was posted this morning atop the HCW and OGD Target Generators:
Coupons that Target has published via e-centives can not be added to the generator because putting them in the generator would circumvent the print restrictions Target puts in place through e-centives.

Blowkiss

DH is busting his butt to get things in order at the house. I'm gonna try to get over there this afternoon with LJ to get my closet and pantry organized.

I'm glad that we rented out our property while we were in Cali, but the renters I had were the suck. There is some damage (burns) to the linoleum in the kitchen Secret looks like I need new tile floors!! I can't even begin to count how many nails/screws are still in the wall. The carpet in the baby's room (which was just an office with little traffic when I lived there) is only 4-5 years old...it has to be torn up since it is FILTHY! Scratches all over the hardwood floors. Rooms that they painted gawd awful colors. Yeah PUMPKIN in the baby's room is a gawd awful color! Unfortunately, there is ALOT of work to be done. Since my (and I say my because I bought it on my own before DH and I were married...better get used to saying OURS) house is an older house DH is concerned about insulation (attic) and the duct work to get us through this winter, then new windows and tearing out exterior walls to reinsulate this spring. Faint My house is going to be a war zone for the next 6 mos. Oh and we're having the baby baptized Thanksgiving weekend. DH asked me last night if we are having people over after the baptism. Ummmm, honey, you gave our living room furniture away when we moved. Until you get new furniture the answer is a resounding NO! How can we have people over without anywhere for them to sit? Roll I suppose I could pull stockpile totes up from the basement for people to pop a squat! Teehee

Awww I am sorry Frown I always fear renting out houses because of all the issues tenants leave behind... I guess the only good news is that you get to redesign the house somewhat to your liking!! HUGS!! I hope all goes well and is not too difficult on you guys... how has LJ been?

I'm sure all of you in here already know this deal, but just in case there's someone out there who doesn't, I'll post it! Teehee Campbell's cream soups are either .45 or .49/ea this week at Target. To compare, Wal-Mart's price is .58/ea, and my Safeway had them ON SALE at $1/ea. So its a pretty good deal anyway. But there are various printables out there, one being $1/4, that make this even sweeter. Mind you, the coupons all beep because the value is over the price of one can, but its an easy K1 (or should be!).

Campbellslink [campbellkitchen.com]

There's a link for a bunch of coupons. Can't find the $1/4, but I'll see if its in the printables thread.

Anyway, I'm posting this because I went to make cheesy rice casserole last night to go with my oven-roasted turkey legs, and realized I didn't have ONE CAN of cream soup!!! So ... I had to search until I found a recipe that didn't call for soup, it called for sour cream. And man, was it yummy! yummy

Here's to no more stockpile shortages EVAH!! High Five

For the M&M racing game do you need the steering wheel? More than one of them? How is Dance Dance Revolution? Do you need special stuff for that?

Okay.. talked to my family cause I must say they are pretty much video game experts (well, they should be as much as they study it).. MY boys are 12, 16, and the hubby. Between them, we have 2 xbox 360 systems, a PS3, and a Wii..
Here is their professional recommendation:

They say the 4 controllers and nunchucks are a must.. the bowling game is included with wii sports along with tennis, baseball, and boxing.. You can get a game called wii play and it comes with a controller and it is mini games such as ping pong, target shooting, etc. Then there is wii sports resort and it has frisbee, sword fighting, basketball, jet skiing, etc.
As far as the racing games go.. my sons say mario cart is the best racing game out there..
And the new mario game that just came out is really popular. The new super mario brothers

Hope that helps!
