i was gonna try boiling milk this weekend to see if it works the same as steamed milk. i watched a video on youtube where they say you can microwave milk in a glass jar container after you've shaken it up rigorously.. microwaving like a minute or two and itll be a bit foamy frothy on top. i havent had a chance to buy any glass jars yet... but i will have to. my cocoa is waiting for me!

i tend to like mixes with milk... that's how they make it in store right? i'll probably try it with water and soymilk also. i've been making hot chocolate with soymilk lately and it's not bad. i'm too lazy to boil it - i just stick in microwave.
i'm back from a weekend up in the mountains! man, i've never been to our local mountains when it was THAT cold. the snow conditions were amazing! i was glad i brought the snowboard jacket with the down layer - it came in handy by the end of the day.

soymilk mixes fine with the ones that i have. i'm a bit of a lactard so i tend to prefer soymilk - it's just easier on my tummy.

it was freezing, which made for great powdery conditions all day! it got down to 5 degrees F... definitely colder than most conditions i'm used to. highs of 20s...
