I love that hoodie, but I didn't want to place more orders. Bad alvs! Bonk Which colors do I want? I'll probably buy 2 or 3. Facepalm

You want them all at $14.99 plus a good code. I got some with the 20% and free shipping pins.

Leggings really are too comfy. I buy tons of them because I'm still looking for a pair that are thick enough for our winters up here. I do always wear them with tunic length pieces and I either send back the thin ones I buy or I wear them under things when it is super cold.

Do any of you guys live near NYC? I feel like I'm the only one over here when everyone is talking about what's left in their local VS and Express stores.:lol
love leggings. i'm wearing the bf ones now with uggs and a sweatshirt.

Shopping the returns is like that one traveling pants story! I saw someone post something on Facebook about how a group of girl friends are shopping each other's closets! As a hoarder, I can't bare to lose most of my pieces laugh out loud Loving this shopping return idea
its funny that you mentioned this. i got together with some HS friends over the weekend and they suggested that we trade pieces so we won't have to spend $ on new clothes. The thing is though, we all have such diff styles, body shapes, and I too can't imagine losing my pieces unless I didn't want them anymore laugh out loud is it weird that i dont like the idea of sharing clothes? The thought of other body scents and also what if something happens to it in the laundry... i know I can never borrow others clothes since I usually toss EVERYTHING (fragile or not) into the machine. Hand washing is for the discipline.. I'm too lazy for that Hide

My style is crazy. Sometimes I'm Ann Taylor sometimes I'm express and sometimes I mix classic with trendy.
i think its good that you shop everywhere. wherever the deals are and you get lots of diff looks/versatile pieces to mix and match
Quote from Cheapeats :
Yeah my trendo-meter is pretty low too. Every now and then I might look a little equestrian with my sweaters and riding boots and I do love a flowing blouse but other than that I'm pretty bland.laugh out loud

Some of it has to do with the fact that I don't really go anywhere. I used to buy stuff I didn't have any place to wear but it started to depress me when my life never got exciting enough to wear those pieces.laugh out loud Also my body is too far from perfect for me to wear a lot of things so I don't try.

Oddly enough I still love clothes. You'd think I'd be less obsessed with them since I like plain stuff and only get to put on something super spiffy a few times a year.nod
seriously, i stopped buying anything remotely nice haha. when DBF n i go to nice restaurants, we just go in jeans! sometimes i think we should make dates "special occasions", but its so much effort at the same time. That's why i'm often glad i live in Cali where people are so chill and laid back in terms of dressing. I remember we went to The Foundry in hollywood and there was a guy who was dressed all jersey shore in his flip flops, wife beater, khaki shorts, and a cap. he was more underdressed than we were.

what a b--!

i used to shop a LOT at target but i think they have some cute styles and i used to pride myself in being able to make a cheap item look nice. it's all about finding what works for your body -- everyone is imperfect and you just have to learn how to work with your flaws. speaking of which, i should really stop trying to wear leggings and tights, but they're just so darn comfy.
i like your philosophy Smilie

i have to say im guilty of wanting better brands to "look" better. They brainwashed me well with the whole brand marketing

i went to my local VS and express during lunch.

Totally influenced by you girls in here.. talking about Express clearance and VS -esp that Jingle panty! It's not something I'd ever consider buying but I hopped on the bandwagon and got it! Couldn't pass it up for 2.99! Plus, I was able to use an expired free lip gloss w purchase coupon.

I actually found something else on my way out and tried to use another free lip gloss coupon, but this one SA who i think became an "acting manager" wouldnt let me use it since it was expired and she said i already used one today. She totally hates me because i always have a coupon or am buying sale/clearance. i hate her more!

Be careful what you ask for. Wink My sisters dress more trendy than I. When they buy me clothes, I pretend to love them, then put them in the back of my closet to never be worn. If they redid my whole closet, I'd go naked. laugh out loud

None of us are perfect. I think everyone, even supermodels, probably have something they'd like to change about their body. You're definitely not alone. hug

I rarely go anywhere to dress up nicely either. Most of my dresses/nicer clothes are only worn on vacation. I don't care, if I'm overdressed then. Those people won't ever see me again. Stick Out Tongue

That girl was a jerk. I don't understand why some people think it's okay to be so rude. It's too bad their has to be so many mean people in this world.

I do love the peplum trend. It's probably due to it being popular, when I was young. It's also very flattering on my body type. I've only bought jackets in that style so far. I need to get some tops & dresses, before they disappear. Hopefully, DH will be able to exchange the dress I received, so I will have at least one dress in that style. I haven't been in much of a dress shopping mood, since I bought so many last year.
sometimes im very surprised at what comes out of ppl's mouths. its like people dont think before they speak or have any common sense.

the sad thing is, i always feel like people who are big mouth or say outrageous things actually have more friends just because they put themselves out there and get "responses"

Awww, no - I didn't mean things really suck - I just hate going to the gym laugh out loud I realllllly hate it. It's rather humiliating to watch everyone in such good shape while I am all fat and blobby and sweaty and nasty Bleh

At least I am going I guess...

Hope you are doing well!!!

hug
keep working out! you're on your way towards a firm body and tooshie! heart dont feel humiliated. The gym is for anyone who wants to have a better body. Just takes time and effort.

If you're nasty, sweaty, and sore, then you're doing something right! I always feel like I have to be disgusting or it wasnt a good work out Evillaugh

laugh out loud We are so spoiled with low prices. $35 seems like it should be a coat or something.

I wish, now I just don't have any friends. laugh out loud I need to show a little more skin. I'm even more covered than I used to be back then. Maybe I'll start working out today.
i know, right? it was hard for me but i really wanted bright colored pants and those were the only ones that fit me without being super tight on the calves. it was summer and i couldn't cover up my calves with boots like i can now. i actually bought them in 3 colors (gasp, that was over 100 laugh out loud) but then i returned the red. it was also hard to find sizes and they were oos online so i had to find them in store. not sure why they were so popular... i don't think i saw anyone else wearing the pants anywhere.

it's not about showing more skin - it's about balance. if you're showing a lot of leg, for example, don't show cleavage also - it's too much. i personally love backless things and hate showing cleavage.

she's smart! Refusing to be plagued by the return/rebuy disease!! Shopping is such hard work. Too much time and energy! My Resolution is to not buy online unless i'm sure it'll fit because i tried it in store and its a lower price online!

the pointed hem sweater has a tad of cashmere in it, and no wool. it's the softest sweater. not the warmest tho, but i heart it. i have 3 colors now. the S works much better on me than the XS due to length.
Which three colors did you get? I think you have the blue like I do. I am too lazy to find it in my sweater drawer to check laugh out loud It seems like a good lightweight sweater for fall/spring nights. nod I am hoping it doesn't pill.

Too bad about friends not getting the good deals...I guess it's not that important to them shake head

I need to start doing this. I find I like certain things in person I don't like online and vice versa.

Ex-DBF was EXACTLY like that. Except, even though he "knows" and is "friends" with a lot of people they're not real friends, more like acquaintances. And he still only hangs out with his close high school friends. So....so much for being loud and bombastic Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)

I like your resolution! I need to make something regarding clothing! I've been pretty good at not shopping unless it's a great deal. Since I really only shop VS mostly, can't try them in store shake head And you're right - it IS a lot of effort to return/rebuy, I need to stop caving and I will once I get all these swim pieces shake head

i got the turquoise and purple from clearance and got the charcoal grey during CM. i've washed the grey and it came out perfect - no pilling and still soft. it's just a tad short in back on me (XS), and the arms could be longer, which is why i got the others in S (and i'm glad i did). i hung it to dry bc i didn't think it could handle any shrinkage since it was already small.

haven't washed/worn the purple and blue yet but they will be great in the spring. Smilie

I told him to help me with my resolutions and he said i should put a # on it.. like hrs, or days per year I can shop laugh out loud or even a $ value "less" is not good enough for him. Well...he is a #s guy. Hide

laugh out loud this is why i rarely bring DH. i feel confined by his judgment, even though he never says anything when we're there.

every so often he'll mutter a "I don't get why you do this" about my buying and returning, but for the most part I think he is grateful that I know how to exercise my right to return and get my hard earned money back. after all is said and done i don't spend THAT much.

i notice you are always everywhere! i rarely go farther than 5 miles to make a mall return trip. if i am, i have to have another reason to drive that "far". i often feel it's not worth my time and gas even though my gas mileage isn't bad (i get anywhere between 25 and 30 tho with all the local i drive it's closer to 25 nowadays).

thanks again for the coffee bean tip btw! i just placed another order on their site - the red velvet is oos, but there's a winter dream latte set that's 1/2 off and i've been meaning to get one of their vanilla powders again for those times i feel like having sweet coffee. free shipping code: shiptoday. yes, it's not a great deal but i like the winter dream tea also, and that container still goes for 8.45 so i figure it's a deal!

So true! But if I buy something at the mall, I'm like there could be a better coupon and I'm not getting any cash back. It's official! I'm driving myself bonkers.
