I tried using diluted shampoo as a compromise but eventually got too lazy.

Yay! I actually forgot there's a lounge thread for just shits and giggles. Am I allowed to say shits on here?

We got this little baby in January, so I've been spending a lot of time with her! I know I might be biased, but she is the best cat in the world.

That sounds so yummy. I don't think I have that I know of. I could have ate it at a restaurant and didn't know what I was eating. Sounds yummy though. I want to try some.

i'm not 100% sure - it could be a number of things - but my skin is somewhat sensitive to silicones in general so i figure it's probably at least part of the cause. i think it comes from remnants of conditioner being left on your skin from the shower + your hair touching your back. i think silicones are bad for your hair since they cause product build-up.

it prob wasn't alvs bc she seems to like the ojon. i vaguely remember someone saying how asian hair behaves differently to the same product than other hair... something about keratin? Dontknow perhaps you and i need to share tips. laugh out loud my hair is a lot less manageable though due to its frizzy/curly nature. but drying it at night and sleeping on it helps a lot.

i used a big bottle of a silicone-free conditioner (schwarzkopf - recommended by someone in here) and i really liked it. i'm just looking for a hopefully cheaper alternative. high hopes for this tresemme naturals! (i've only used it a few times so far so nothing conclusive yet)

i tend to wash my hair twice when i'm in the shower. i only condition once, and i wash my hair about every other day (i try to go as long as possible but 2 days is usually the max before it's terrible).
I used to wash with Pantene all the time, then I heard about switching around to maintain effectiveness. So I've been doing that to make a dent in my shampoo stockpile. Yes, I remember the schwarzkopf rec. I haven't taken the plunge to get something so pricey! Aside from the no breakouts, do you notice anything different?

I also wash my hair every other day, otherwise it gets icky.

As for my hair type, I lack volume. If I let it air dry, it sits very flat on my head. So I blow dry upside down to create the volume I need. I don't have the frizz going on, so we differ there. And sometimes I have issues with really dry scalp. Not the flakey dandruffy kind, but just plain desert crack-like dry and I find that the Phyto oil helps, which I use once a week to get it back in shape.

Not sure if anyone needs anything from sephora, but the samples are really awesome. There's a mini Guerlain mascara that is perfect for a small purse and a mini ren mask (which I really like). I ordered something for the UD pencil in smoke, which I also really like.

That MUFE kit is still $63.30 through today.

Sephora online was out of my shade of foundation, so the store said they would match the price. The lady showed me how to put on foundation one shade darker and use bronzer. It looked so good. I was reall surprised. I should get more express services done at sephora more. They also let me use my VIB discount on top of the promotional price Smilie
Wow, that's a great deal! Nice of the lady to show you how to work other tips! I'm still waiting for a good freebie to come around on Sephora, but nothing so far.

Have any of you ever had good/bad experiences with Bloomingdale's customer service over the phone? My goodness! I just spent almost a combined 45 minutes on the phone with them to place 1 item.

I really applaud all of you who call VS customer service often or any other retail customer service.
I haven't had to call Bloomies before, but that makes me want to call them even less about their F&F. Sorry you had that experience.

I told DBF (the scientist) about it, and he said the answer was obvious (to him). Apparently, shampoo is full of some of the harshest chemicals we can use. Shampoo breaks the hair bonds to break up the oil and conditioner repairs it (which is why conditioner is so important). I guess using less harsh ingredients (things that are not parabens or sulfates) break less of the good bonds...or something. He sent me an article about this several months ago. I'll see if I can dig it up...
Thanks for this info. I'm interested in the article as well since I'm the type to overuse shampoo. Whenever I chop off my hair, like about 4 inches, I always forget to use less the first few washes shake head

YES! I do! I don't use regular dressing because it's too thick!

I have balsamic glaze! drool I need to try your little recipe here! I don't have any basil right now, but once it grows, I'm definitely giving that a try!
What a cute kitty BTW!

nod it's a light acid so it cleans well. I used it to clean out hard water deposits on my zojirushi water heater... Worked amazingly well.

Yes! It's actually the only salad dressing I use at home. I do olive oil drizzle + balsamic vinegar and fresh ground pepper. Simple but delish.

I really like that ojon. I have a really big cowlick on the right side of my head, right above my ear. It's such a pain. I started using that ojon stuff, and it went away. I alternate with the wen stuff icey likes as well. I mean, my cowlick is totally gone. I was telling the sephora lady about it, and she was surprised.

Does he have any thoughts about WEN?

It takes forever! I stopped hoarding shamp/cond a year ago and feel like I've hardly made a dent. That I was able to make more raffle baskets from d-store runs and still have a ton leftover tells me how much I was overdoing the D-store game Faint

I'm so excited. My niece just had our first baby girl in 18 years. Woot I wish I could be there to hold her, before she's grown.

Too funny! You're very creative. That would need to be mostly shot with a sprinkle of jello for me to be able to eat them. I'd have to close my eyes for the first 6 or so. laugh out loud It's really sweet of you to still be there for your DB's ex. How's that going, by the way? Any chance they'll get back together?
...
Fun, fun. I bet her closet will be overflowing for years to come with all the aunties buying for her. Girly

Thanks Smilie Yes, no added sugar beyond the regular mix. Just coconut milk and whipped cream flavored vodka!

That is kind of you, but I actually think of that in different terms, that it's sweet of her to still want to spend time with me when I must remind her of him and he said things to hurt her. Thank you for asking, but no, there is no chance of reconciliation. She has started dating and realizes she deserved better. I believe my brother is "dating" and according to his friends from college (that made an appearance at her fundraiser), he sounds miserable. It's been a while since I've talked to him but should be catching up this week. I'm very happy for her and as for him, I hope he figures himself out and what makes him happy. I consider her one of my closest friends now, but for whatever reason - holding onto her is not weird to me. Although, she wanted to hangout over memorial day and if I weren't on the camping trip from hell, my second obligation would have been to my brothers/parents and not her Frown .
