Until I watched the video, I didn't understand what you were asking. I put the open space over the side of my arm. I've never pressed on a blood vessel hard like that woman seems too. That does look painful. Your hands & arms are small, so you shouldn't have a problem putting it on.

i'll bet you guys have more problems in your area due to the heat + humidity most of the year.

i'm not sure if temperatures in the fridge are cold enough to kill those things, but i'm sure it makes it harder for them to grow. i like the freezer overnight idea - it makes sense to me. i do like to store a lot of things in the fridge, but i don't store everything.
I've never seen weevils in fresh flour or meal only in products that had been in a canister awhile. Since I don't use stuff that would normally be stored in canisters up quickly, I've always put it in the fridge & have never had a problem. Cereal isn't something I've kept in the fridge, but it wouldn't have helped with this situation anyway. I'll continue to keep it in the pantry.

e*bates just sent me an email & they had deducted cash back on 4 Express orders. I haven't returned anything to Express in awhile. How far back do they go? This happens often, & I don't question it. I decided to email them about it this time, since I know it's been since Nov. at least since I returned anything. Normally, I think I may have returned something, so I just let it go.

It's too bad about the dress. shake head

It is her wedding. Smart brides are always willing to take suggestions & constructive criticism though. It's hard to think of everything, & others advice/suggestions can help make the wedding better. I have to admit it grates on my nerves, when the bride throws out the "It's my wedding" card. It sounds so immature to me. Everyone knows whose wedding it is. Roll Eyes (Sarcastic) It's easy enough to thank someone for the suggestion, then do what you want.

And be sure to bring your own makeup along in case of an emergency. You could privately redo it, if you don't like how they fixed it.
I love the bringing my own makeup idea!! I hardly do a neutral eye that looks elegant and pops, so I will need to practice in case they make me look terrible! I kind of want to redo my eye makeup style, so I'll need to practice anyhow.

Yep, we know whose wedding it is, and I, too, hate the "it's my wedding" card. Or "I'm the bride." I'm just curious where is her fiance in all of this "help" she is requesting of us?! They live together for crying out loud.

Sorry to hear about your CB. I hope you get it fixed, otherwise I have a lot of deductions coming my way too shake head

very good point about bringing your own stuff. bulb and you're right - the "it's my wedding" card is irritating bc it's unnecessary. i guess i am more used to ppl who want to please everyone involved, rather than only themselves.
I guess weddings turn the most passive people to passive aggressive people and very self centered. Staying grounded and being kept in check seems the way to go

I decided I'm returning it. I paid $5 for it anyway, too pricey Teehee i think mine is a little more difficult to put on because it is very wide. i can put it on, but i feel like i'm struggling.

those bugs tend to start small and reproduce like crazy (kinda like bacteria), so you wouldn't see it in fresh stuff bc there'd be very little of it. leave it alone to breed tho, and it could turn into a lot more. i think the idea of throwing it in the freezer for a day is to kill off whatever may be in there in the first place, so it never gets a chance to breed.

haha just ignore her cry for help.

and it's not all passive ppl! maybe just the immature ones... laugh out loud idk, i didn't even want help for mine. i mostly just ran things past DH. i only elicited help from girlfriends for my dress, since ur not really supposed to involve the groom in that. i didn't want to bother others with anything else - we're all busy ppl anyway.

as for makeup - i practiced for months before my friend's wedding. i did my own makeup tho - it turned out fine imo. definitely bring stuff to help fix. you should be fine with a naked or two. Smilie

i have a friend who is engaged to someone she met online. she used okcupid

i have to say tho, be careful when you meet people online. meet in public places and let others kno who you're meeting and when. i had a different friend who used it for a year before quitting since everyone she met didnt live up to her expectation. each time she met someone tho, she'd link the pic or tell us a name plus she'd leave a note to say where and when just in case
If I ever try it I will definitely be as careful as possible.

Quote from teenbean :
I used Match. I googled and found a 20% off code and signed up for 3 months cause 1 month was way too expensive when you compared it to what three months cost. You can actually sign up for free and look at profiles and "wink" at people. But you can't email them or read your emails without a paid subscription.

There are way more guys on the website then there are girls so I never even had to make first contact. They always contacted me first.

Just try to watch out for spammers. If their location doesn't match up to the area you are in or the photos look fake, I automatically ignored them.

I turned off IM because I didn't like being contacted while I was looking at photos. I also put a message at the bottom of my profile saying that I'm shy and not much of a talker, please send me an email that says more then just hi. Cause if you talk less then me then it's going to be a really silent relationship. Guys still would just send an email that just said "hi" so I ignored those too.

I always met them a public places like TGIF or 5 guys. I drove my own car there.

I hate how I look in photos too. Maybe try googling "how to look good in pictures" and look for tips. I just wouldn't photo edit them (other then cropping and red eye) because people don't really like it when they meet someone and they don't look at all like they did in their profile pics.
Thank you for all your advice! I'm such a coward about things but I'm not really willing to give up on finding someone so I'll probably try online eventually.

Quote from GoHeels :
I feel your pain with photos. Comfort I hate having my picture taken too. They say a tv camera adds 10 lbs. A regular camera adds at least that many lbs. to me, especially in my face & neck. We were looking at pics my sister had framed for me for Christmas. One of them was a picture of my sisters & I. My DS said, "Wow, Mom you were fat, when that picture was taken." Chairbash It was only a few months ago & I was the same size I am now. Ermm In his defense, a lot of people tell me I look heavier in pics. They just don't usually come right out & say I look fat. laugh out loud Like teenbean, I've seen others suggest looking for info on how to take good pics. That may help you. I think I'm hopeless. Good luck, if you decide to go the online route. hug
Yes! I don't have a defined face with sculpted cheekbones so it just looks puffy in photos. I would never edit a picture to put it up to represent myself but I would definitely have to take like 50 pictures before I had one I liked. I look in the mirror enough to know that at least one of them is showing me the wrong thing (of course I don't know for sure which one it is laugh out loud) Also I can look a little harsh in photos.

It sounds like a terrible idea, but I like going to a bar by myself to meet people. I've met a lot of interesting people this way. It's easy to interact with people one-on-one or join in with groups of people. This works best at a quieter place like an Irish pub or dive bar, where people are just hanging out and not dancing and looking for hook-ups. You can wear jeans and a t-shirt and just be yourself and you will definitely get attention from guys. If you don't like someone, you can always leave or sit somewhere else. I've made lasting friendships that resulted from excusing myself from a creeper and introducing myself to a group of strangers.
I'm way too big of a coward to go places like that alone. I read an article recently where friends were going to places but sitting separately for the same reason. It was easier to meet people alone than sitting with a friend. I don't have any people who'd do that kind of thing with me though so unless I meet a guy while hanging out in a coffee shop or bookstore or something I'm kind of SOL. People here are too scary for me.

laugh out loud I thought you seemed very generous towards your BMs! nod I wasn't implying you or anything shake head

Do you recommend bringing own makeup brushes? Do MUAs get offended if I do this? I'm only worried because I have really sensitive eyes and don't really want other people's brushes with bacteria irritating my eyes or worse, getting an infection EEK!

for my wedding i had the MU lady use my own brushes. Im creeped out by ones that are used on everyone.. I also purchased all my own makeup in the colors we decided on.

As for the song list, i guess i was lazy. We met the dj the week before. I told him "we like country music, but we want people to dance, my only wants are no rap, no curse words, no chicken dance or tequlia song." doneWink he did a great jobwoot

brownies in a mug? huh .. i have seen them in a jar, which btw were not good, and of course you cant just dump 300 brownies out and start over. For mine we did flip flops in the wedding colors, playing cards, and grr.. beer coozies (dh insisted on that one, and i made him wear pink so he won)

I am a huge coward too, when it comes to social situations. I'm very awkward in person, that's one of the reasons I drink. I could never meet a stranger at a coffee shop or a bookstore because I'd most likely be sober. I'm much better than I used to be though. Talking to strangers drunk has improved my skills at casual conversation, regardless of my intoxication level. I wright it off as therapy. Coverlaugh

Great comments on the MUA and the brushes. Okay, I'm taking mine and bringing my own palettes for them to use. I do not feel comfortable at all sharing makeup and brushes with everyone else. Not worth the risk for my eyes. Hm...now I have a few months to consider which palette to bring. Not sure if I want them to use my precious Naked palette since I assume they'd use it wastefully. Maybe the Too Faced ones Scratchchin

Sounds like you got a great DJ!

That jar thing makes sense cause she did say something about a jar. But I was confused cause she also kept saying mug. Oh well, I guess the guests will not be enjoying their favors. Your favors definitely seemed practical and fun! bounce

I actually really like the idea. Although in practice, that is where my SIL met her DBF with a drinking problem...he was a regular at the bar she was at for the night. I'm sure it's easy to figure out the ones to avoid quickly- it is very intriguing though!

Oooh! I will do that, thanks for the tip! That is actually the same advice given to kill fleas in things you don't want to spray like my fUGG boots. (seal in a clean bag, put in freezer overnight). Worked like a charm. Freezer is my new Dexter kill zone for little varmits laugh out loud

Hello Loogie! Wave Thanks for the NY&Co HU, bro's GF loves them so I'll pass it on Smilie From VS - fleece pants with button pockets on the bum, swim cover-up, and am actually considering their linen tops in the new mint/ivory colors.

Hm...those cake pops sound questionable. I only eat cake pops if they're cold...which means it's been refrigerated. Yuck on the no fridge!

Ha - ! Yeah, she finally admitted to being stressed. I told her to let go of the baking of the brownies and just do what you suggested. But she responded to all and then she told us what she wanted us to do exactly and what ingredients to put in. I guess these from scratch brownies are going to be microwaved, not baked, which makes it more questionable to me. Crazy I told her yes for now, but may bail if I have other commitments.

Hm...about those target dresses, she said no. Frown
. . .
Yeah...there are a few things that scare me with her food prep, but I figure it's building my immune system. Strong

No on the dresses and you're going to bake 150 batches of brownie individually ....by baking them in the microwave in mugs? I'm dying, this is such a clusterf**k! Roll Is it too late to contact the Bridezilla's Show producers? I think there's still a lot good material for them to work with Stick Out Tongue
Comfort good luck.

Thanks for the HU on the Tote. I just used the gold glittery one tonight and I know there are a lot of naysayers but I love it! Structure is just right, size fits my packing cubes for our trip out to the money pit Coverlaugh I mean, condo. I hope the new one is similar in size and shape.
