In my experience, men aren't that much of a mystery. They just want us to think they are. Most men will say they prefer a girl w/o makeup. That usually translates to, "I already think you're beautiful, & don't want other men looking at you." How many times do you see women who look plain get 2nd looks? Now, how many times do you see women who dress nicely, wear at least some makeup, & style their hair turn heads? (As a side note, men & women have very different ideas of what styles look hot on a woman.) To attract a man's attention, you need to stand out from the casual, plain masses. The other option is to hang out in groups so a guy can really get to know you. In that case, the way one looks may not be as important. Unfortunately, men can't see your personality at first glance. You need to give them something they can see & find attractive.
I secretly think that about 90% of people walking around in skinny low cut jeans look downright awful..but they dont seem to care

I don't have friends so my interaction with men is limited to work stuff and just everyday errands. That means if I see someone I'm interested in, one of us has to be super confident and say something because we might not ever cross paths again.

I keep saying I'll try it when I lose 10lbs. Do you mind telling which site you used? I browsed two of the free sites before and when I read some profiles I was blown away by their arrogance.
I agree. I used to be like that and trying to look for the guy. The time I gave up and just decided to meet people and have fun and experience life was when I met DBF. Best things happen when you aren't looking!

i have to say tho, be careful when you meet people online. meet in public places and let others kno who you're meeting and when. i had a different friend who used it for a year before quitting since everyone she met didnt live up to her expectation. each time she met someone tho, she'd link the pic or tell us a name plus she'd leave a note to say where and when just in case

Ha - ! Yeah, she finally admitted to being stressed. I told her to let go of the baking of the brownies and just do what you suggested. But she responded to all and then she told us what she wanted us to do exactly and what ingredients to put in. I guess these from scratch brownies are going to be microwaved, not baked, which makes it more questionable to me. :cra zy: I told her yes for now, but may bail if I have other commitments.
Hm...about those target dresses, she said no. : (
Yah, she said no to those Target dresses again.
I guess she really liked the VS dress I sent her, but her slow butt made it so that there's only M left. Oh well. I showed her some ASOS dresses, maybe she will pick one. That lace dress you liked that I linked some time ago - looks great on her, but is casual really really short. Like mid thigh short/butt grazing short. She probably won't use that. I wouldn't wear it after for anything There's a Macy's lace dress [macys.com] she's thinking about and I like it. she picks one.
So glad your bride picked her dress quick!
Yes, if you don't mind sending me those wedding songs along, I can pass it to her. That will probably help her. She did get a DJ. I guess he didn't provide her with a list. She's got a blank spreadsheet with stuff like "bridal party entrance" "bouquet tossing song." She hired a harpist - I don't see why the harpist can't come up with some ceremony songs?! I've done all I can because I don't see why I should research songs for her which is HER job. Plus, my taste is so different from hers and I'm not giving my songs away! So I declined to even put in any special requests. Maybe some uptempo requests I will request. I did send her your makeup/hair recs that you sent me a while ago.
Nope, no brownies going in a bag. I guess the ingredients (cocoa, flour, etc) will be put in order in a mug and heated in a microwave. I can't imagine doing 100-150 of those :m ad: She even said that they don't taste like they should and she's tweaking the recipe. That sounds dangerous. I just think microwaving something will definitely be different than baking something. All the molecules in the food react differently. OH well. I feel for the sucker who may be eating my creations. Crap like that never turns out well when I do it. I am a box mix kinda girl. I never do cake, and stuff from scratch well. I try though. I've make pumpkin pie from scratch like 7 times already and the dough and insides are STILL inconsistent and questionable :sha ke:
the brownies are a disaster waiting to happen. fwiw i went through a brownie baking period where i was experimenting with different recipes. none ended up that good - my favorites are still box mixes. i think it depends on the type of cocoa you use, but i'm not about to buy a bunch of different cocoas to try. (i think when i was trying stuff i used hershey and trader joe's and preferred the trader joe's, if that helps) good luck with that one... that sounds like a stupid favor imho.
also, different microwaves have different wattage.... and things cook differently depending on that.

I have no hope for the brownies - they are a lost cause. She said we should try making it ourselves, but it's going to taste like flour and not very good.

i sent you the pdf. we asked our dj for a list of songs - he didn't provide it to us until we asked.

There are way more guys on the website then there are girls so I never even had to make first contact. They always contacted me first.
Just try to watch out for spammers. If their location doesn't match up to the area you are in or the photos look fake, I automatically ignored them.
I turned off IM because I didn't like being contacted while I was looking at photos. I also put a message at the bottom of my profile saying that I'm shy and not much of a talker, please send me an email that says more then just hi. Cause if you talk less then me then it's going to be a really silent relationship. Guys still would just send an email that just said "hi" so I ignored those too.
I always met them a public places like TGIF or 5 guys. I drove my own car there.
I hate how I look in photos too. Maybe try googling "how to look good in pictures" and look for tips. I just wouldn't photo edit them (other then cropping and red eye) because people don't really like it when they meet someone and they don't look at all like they did in their profile pics.
zappos is owned by amazon so maybe that's why.

I'm happy she decided to get a makeup artist. So I don't have to worry about doing my own makeup and hair the day of and be expected to run around like a coordinator. She's contacting the two you gave me Elanie Chou and Joyce Luck Style. Would be surprised if they are free this close out, but they are.

Hopefully, the bride will go with that dress. It doesn't look like a BM dress, so you could wear it again.
