His original plan was to skip like 5ish years and then we'd just see Arya on the other side of what she's doing now. Personally I'd have preferred that, but GRRM said he had so much to write about that time for others that he didn't want to do that. Booo. So now we'll have 20 books instead of like 15.

Yeah I know. She's just acting like a puppy, but she's completely utilitarian in my view. She's a family dog for the kids to learn to be around animals, and she's a dog I can use to hunt should TSHTF so to speak. Jennifer Lawrence has great bewbs. But I just wish she weren't so damn hyper, and I never predicted the hound smell she would have. The day after I bathe her she smells like piss and hound.
