i dunno, it's just not sucking anymore. even when i empty the cannister, it doesn't suck up very much. who knows? life sucks, this is just one more thing on top of all the other things. Lord help me, get me through this, i am more lost right now than i have ever been before Weeping

Have you got a phillips screwdriver, perchance? Often, there are four (or possibly six) screws that hold the bottom onto the vacuum. When you take these out, the bottom should drop off, and you can see if there's something clogging up the vacuum down there. If the beaters/brushes are turning when you turn it on, then the belt is okay. If they're not moving, the belt is likely broken/stuck.

What's the make and model number of this currently non-sucking vacuum cleaner?

i was going over to my mom's house tomorrow anyways. i'll take my vacuum and we'll do some serious sucker surgery to figure out what made him stop sucking LMAO

Well, she's gonna have to get the screen replaced before she can do anything else with her phone. It won't work well enough to even get through the initial setup screens, which means it won't work, period.
