A friend told me I should get a rawhide and stick it in a jar with some food coloring, label it, and just stick it in the house somewhere.

Hm, there's no good way to tell this story to a prospect without changing that to "I used to", huh? But that's not accurate, so I wouldn't feel comfortable phrasing it that way.
Lucky for me, I don't have children. I have kitty cats. The "we" stories are easier to modify (and not nearly as plentiful).
