i was just in the break room getting ice cream, and there's a line of like 20 people ahead of me (it's a big office) so i got in line. the director of Accounting (my boss) got in line with a couple other managers/directors about 5mins later. he was 10 people behind me. at one point i glanced back at him, and he was talking to the other two managers in line with him....i read his lips. i saw him say my name, then i saw "short-term", followed by "keep her around". i'm gonna hope like hell that he was just telling them that i was brought on for a short-term project but they plan on keeping me around laugh out loud
