Yeah, I know there's the saying "two is company, three is a crowd" but that logic only applies to specific situations where you want someone to get lost.

Ah yes, much different. I think there's going to be a sliding scale here.

If you know the people:
I'm going to say you need at least 10. Any less and it's just a bunch of your friends watching you do something

If they're all total strangers:
I'm thinking minimum 3. Two would be 2 friends with nothing better to do, or who have run out of conversation. 3 people paying specific attention would start the crowd for me: there's less likely chance that 3 people are paying attention due to lack of other distractions.

And for the mix, I'll say 6 - 3 from each group.

Yeah, I'd say that's a pretty safe crowd.

Of course, Advanced Crowd Studies would talk about your level of fame being directly proportionate to the numbers that constitute a crowd, but I think we're pretty safe disregarding that for this study.
