Well the concert was AMAZING. The Lumineers really put on a great show. We were in the second row of seats which was behind the standing/General Admission part but elevated a bit so we could see over that small crowd. It was in an outdoor pavilion right on the water - there was a battleship in port on one side. Very cool.

Also, nobody came to use the seats in front of us - and we were dead center with the stage. So we had basically the best seats in the house. I was absolutely in heaven and so was the gf. We got a hotel a mile from the venue so we walked to & from, didn't have to deal with traffic at all. Had dinner at a dive bar/burrito place laugh out loud but the food was decent and didn't give us the firerreah at all. The only down side to the whole trip was me worrying about my house with the storms everyone predicted that never materialized (seriously, we didn't get one single drop of rain at my house).

That, and stinkin' Google Navigation on my phone... I hit the "go home" button and started following it... it took us through Virginia Beach because it found an address similar to mine (same street number and street NAME but a court instead of a lane and not even in my zip code) and we didn't realize until it was directing us into some neighborhood... Annoyed I think we only lost about 30 minutes but I was trying to get back in a hurry b/c of the storms they were saying would hit early afternoon. On the plus side, we got a nice tour of one part of Virginia Beach laugh out loud

We got back & the gf hadn't seen the basement yet. She goes "OMFG how are you so calm this whole time!" She'd thought that since I wasn't freaking the fark out that the basement wasn't so bad. When she saw the giant pile of drywall and carpet and ruined possessions on the lawn, and heard the fans & dehumidifiers running down there... then she saw the bare concrete, piles of semi-dry stuff I'm trying to save, and the drywall cut eight inches up from the floor around the entire basement, she freaked out for me. LMAO Then she said "something must be working if you're this serene" and asked me where was my Big Book. (she isn't even in the program - but she reads the BB all the time now! Rofl2 )

So I was a little frustrated yesterday so I cut down a pine tree in my front yard. It reminded me of the charlie brown christmas tree, except 20' tall. It didn't occur to me until after if fell down, towards the road, that it might be too heavy to move! Luckily I was I able to pull it 10 feet so that it was no longer on the road. Strong

not gonna lie, getting this card after dropping the gf at the airport this morning (at 0530!) was pretty awesome...

Now if these dudes ever finish taking all their equipment out of my basement I can head down there and see what can be saved...
