It is snowing. In late March. In Alabama.

Barely a flurry, but still.

Better flurries than furries.

Snowed here. Stuck to the grass but not to the roads.

Snowing pretty hard here right now. Not sticking to road surfaces, but still should make the evening such hour terrible.

This winter has been an epic battle pitting Man/Machine vs Mother Nature/Snow.
I've had enough. To the victor go the spoils.

Nice sunny day here in the PNW, with a little light rain now and then.

Annoyed

This is my first weekend of spring that I am off and I figured it would be nice to get out and get some fresh air, maybe get a start on cleaning up the yard and prepare for the grass-cutting season which surely just around the corner. I put on my shoes and stepped out the back door.....

Maybe I'll just watch a movie instead.

This might make you feel better.

Seattle sets record for all-time wettest March

As of 7 p.m. Friday, Seattle sat at 8.87 inches of rain for the month, breaking the old Sea-Tac record of 8.40" in 1950, and shattering the Federal Building record of 7.23" of rain set that same year.

March now goes down as the wettest month since November 2012.

Also on Seattle's record-breaking list -- the wettest February-March on record. That record used to be 14.85 inches set in 1950, but not any more. Seattle was at 14.98 inches as of Friday afternoon with still showers in the forecast through the weekend.

Yeah, I wouldn't care for that at all.

Truth is, while I like to whine about winter I do in fact love snow. The more snow the better. Even the winter when we got in excess of 25 feet of snow I was still ready for more. This year sucked since we had so many days below zero, starting in early December and continuing up until this past week. Bitter cold I do not enjoy, and we set a record for number of days without getting above freezing as well. But, as with this recent snow, we were back in the upper 20s and any amount of snow is fine with me at that temperature.

I was outside most of the afternoon. All the snow made for a lot of work but that is why I have so many toys to assist in its removal. I am ready for spring, but I am still going to be smiling every time it snows between now and when it finally all melts.

And Vegas not a single drop of rain.

Iaaaiws - when do you think you will finally lose snow cover? You probably have snow mounds going into June.
