So My Wife Moved In With Her Boyfriend... (Update #211)

8,512 793 August 12, 2007 at 12:02 AM in Sporting Goods
Well you can call her Strike Three cuz she is outta here!

The U-Haul came this morning. Since he doesn't want to tell his friends about me (she was told to lie and say she's been divorced for a couple of years), it was only him, her and me to load up the truck. I had all the boxes and furniture in the garage. Only the pictures and breakable stuff were in the house. I helped him load up the U-Haul (and we packed it full) without so much as a Thank You. Roll Eyes (Sarcastic) She has a real winner there.

Um, lets see...here's your post on that thread:

Now, after reading that, yes, you did come across as quite the "I'm innocent and perfect with regards to this situation" person. I'm not saying your post was wrong in that thread by any means. By all means, you could be completely innocent and just had some random girl all of a sudden hate you and want to fight with you, when you yourself did nothing to provoke it.

But, by the same sense as your post in this thread, there could be PLENTY more to the story that you never told us - such as, you calling this person a Bitch while at Walmart shopping for videogames, and they took the last copy of Super Mario Brothers.

The point is, we don't know the other side of the story. But, just as Stealth comes across as the innocent party in this thread, so did you in your thread. There is NO justifyable reason to call him out in this thread. As someone stated, we KNOW he's not perfect. A divorce is always a 2-party deal. We're sure they have had their arguments, setbacks, etc. But what we also KNOW is that she cheated on him, and he didn't create this thread to say "poor me, I want to die, lets all kill Stealth". He came across as "For all of you [my friends], here's what's going on in my life, and here's a status update for you.

That is ALL. No need to call him out on something that you are assuming could be the case.
Okay, in that first post, you can assume that. About five posts later I told the entire story and even said, "it gets worse because I got into a deeper hole with this one"--basically saying we got into a "bad conversation". I also said that "we" never spoke and "we" never interacted. Not, "I was strolling through the park one day..."

With stealth, he literally went about 3 pages talking about his wife going out on a date with someone and "should he divorce her" and they promised not to cheat, etc., etc. If he finally told the entire story 10 pages into the thread, that ain't my fault.

Hey Kiwi,

I read those quotes, and that's what guys say to get sympathy. Notice the EEK! after she told him her reasons.

Your goddamn right it's your fault! You made assumptions based on an unknowing of the issue at hand. Rather than educate yourself, you made quick assumptions and acted as such.

You know what? Titanic was a good movie. But, if I would have left after the first hour and said "This movie sucks. It's waaaaaay too slow, and was a horrible, horrible movie," then I would have been 100% at fault in my assumption, because I didn't watch the whole thing. So, I would have to take the credit for being wrong in my assumption. But, had I watched the whole movie, I would have seen the rest of it, and the exciting parts, and would have liked the movie!

So, you can't make these accusations without reading the whole issue given at hand, and then claim innocent and that it's not your fault that you're too lazy to educate yourself!

five posts, not five pages.

Okay, final say: STEALTH, you're obviously a great guy who just got a bad rap. You've got a bunch of great friends irl, and on the internet who will stand by you--no matter what.

Party on. Cool

Hey Jazzy,

Notice the Mad you gave me after I answered your question a few posts back?

I think if you are going to voice displeasure over others here disagreeing with you... well people in glass houses, that whole thing.

I read the quotes that Kiwi posted (in the original thread) and to me, that wasn't accepting responsibility for anything.

I didn't say I didn't read the entire thread. I just got tired of the "dumb bitch" posts.

You gotta stop reading somewhere. You chose to stop after a page or so. We chose to stop after a post or so. Is there a mandated number before we can form an opinion?

What's interesting is that I also chose not to read Stealth's entire thread, much for the same reason. But I my tendancy is to presume innocence. I am not so cyncial as to think that a person has to have done something wrong to have deserved something wrong be done to them. Some of us naturally think in more dimensions, seeing the his wife's exit as either a gift from previous 'rights' he has done, or a misfortune to be made up for in spades in the future.

Okay, and that's acceptable and I can respect that. I'm just opposite.

I just don't think guilt or innocence really has anything to do with this. He|| being a man makes him guilty of something in the marriage, in my book. (J/K, Cav.) laugh out loud But gracious, does that mean his dirty ex should run out and start cheating. He|| no! If she had any sort of maturity about her, she should have realized introducing C into an A and B relationship is a great way of avoiding the problems in your interpersonal relationships. At some point all you end up with is a string of broken relationships and possibly some very confused kids who will soon be on their third father figure. NO ONE is perfect. Not Cav, not his wife and certainly not the other man. But Cav's actions throughout this whole mess have been stellar. And that is something the cheaters can't claim. I could only hope to aspire to his level of maturity.

Furthermore, alot of that thread disappeared because of some jacka$$ named SideCar Sally just being a complete troll in that thread. So everything that was posted originally isn't there. Hmmm...Scratchhead Maybe you know Sally??

Last, Cav that thread is what got me hooked on the Lounge. So thanks for that, my friend. Smilie
