Welcome to the 62nd edition of our pursuit!
TMPT was started on 10/15/2006 by SD member Afx.
No member has posted in every thread(10K) increments but GG has posted in all but 1.
So far, TMPT has taken 6 years, 5 months, 16 days
The point of this thread is to get to 1,000,000 posts. We do this in 10,000 post increments because the threads need to be closed then (per the administrators). Usually, we have a group that just hangs out and chats, but sometimes it's just one person in the thread, so they entertain themselves. Sometimes we just post smilies if no one else is there (to keep the thread moving in post count). Yes, we realize this is pointless, but 90% of the Lounge is pointless and we harm no one. We'd love to have you join us if you'd like. Thanks for stopping by!

digital publishing really needs to be fixed. some major publishers aren't doing it at all, others are using different models. There's no reason a publisher couldn't just charge, say, $2 per read to the library, with no limit, but they'd rather sell it wholesale to the library like a regular book. Or they could charge something similar to the book price, and let the library lend each copy the same number of times they expect a book to last in circulation.
