Hi all,
I started this thread for anyone who wants to come here for lite discussion, jokes, and just general discussion and fun.
Everyone is welcome!
I was thinking that maybe it would be helpful to keep the original thread to a bit more of a serious discussion of the clues and answers.
This would make the original thread more useful to those seeking serious information and clues without having to read through hundreds of extraneous messages.
So, I hope it catches on !

called them today. i thought maybe the meter could be broken. no they said it would not register at all. they are sending me a brochure. stupid. so i can see which appliances use the most.
We had the gas people tell us our meter was reading correctly. Finally I asked how they were rerading it. They said they went in our back yard and took a meter reading every month and it reads the same as it did the last few years. Only problem is we got a 6 foot tall privacy fence, bushes were covering the meter and the corner of the house. We replace the gas washer and gas dryer and replaced the hot water heater with the tankless, also got electric stove. Theres no way we were using the same amount of gas so I called and told them what I read the meter as and they sent out her supervisor. Come to find out she was averaging our last bills and guessing since our gate was locked. I told them I didnt mind them doing that as long as they took current readings and came by once a year to correct it and they agreed. They ended up owing us $600 or so buy the time they got around to it!! Now its usually about $30 a year off and the ended up replacing all the meters in the city because the older meters were reading so off it was cheaper to put in new ones
