Hi all,

I started this thread for anyone who wants to come here for lite discussion, jokes, and just general discussion and fun.

Everyone is welcome!

I was thinking that maybe it would be helpful to keep the original thread to a bit more of a serious discussion of the clues and answers.

This would make the original thread more useful to those seeking serious information and clues without having to read through hundreds of extraneous messages.

So, I hope it catches on !

So pop a beer and pull up a chair and relax !

Hi Everyone,

Time to stick my head out of my cocoon and say hello to all you wonderful folks. This is the first time I've logged in for a very long time, so if you sent me a private message I haven't read any yet.

Tomorrow will be two months since my husband died (both full moon days). About mid-February we had driven to Chicago to stay a couple days at our youngest son's house before flying out of Midway to Ft Myers to stay with friends. The day after we got to FL, my husband didn't feel well and actually went to a doctor who treated him for a urinary infection but told him to get tests done when we got home. He never perked up and we only got back as far as Chicago to our son's house when he had a terrible attack that killed him.

I miss him very much, and now realize that he must not have felt good for a long time but ignored some of what was bothering him. Looking back, I can see why he often seemed unsettled and hard to be around at times. Sure wish God had given us the wisdom to do something about it before it was too late.

Dying out of state complicates matters a bit, so I am actually still waiting on the autopsy and the final death certificate.

If life ever settles down, I might be able to start entering more than a couple contests a week. Since the beginning of the year, I've been to Naples once, Chicago three times, Des Moines three times, and am going again soon. After that I plan to stay put for a while. I have lots of yard work to do but I plan to get someone to cut grass. That's one job I wouldn't even attempt trying to do.

I'll try to stop by again soon.
Sorry to hear of your loss. Be strong.

It is outside attached to the side of the house.

Thank-you for the congrats! Didn't you win from the McDonalds NCAA Sweeps that you posted? I am so happy with what I won, but am really curious as to how much better "the Boyd" did in that sweeps.

Congrats!

I play roulette with the complimentary casino chips and bet on either red or black depending on what the little sign with the last 10 plus results shows. I find a low minimum bet table and if I have 2 ea $25 chips, bet one each time on two spins. If I put the chip on red and red is where the ball lands, then I win $25 (if it was my money, it doubles, with complimentary chips, you keep the $25 winning chip and the casino keeps the $25 bet). I bet one chip per spin, until the complimentary chips are gone and keep any wins (real chips paid out).
There is also an odd or even that you can put a chip on. So if you wanted to bet odd or even and black or red (using one chip for each), you could do that. The casino won't let you bet both colors or both odd and even, but you can do one of each. You could also bet on 0 or 00 or numbers (or combinations) but I'm trying to keep it easy.

From WIKI
"The pockets of the roulette wheel are numbered from 1 to 36.

In number ranges from 1 to 10 and 19 to 28, odd numbers are red and even are black. In ranges from 11 to 18 and 29 to 36, odd numbers are black and even are red."

Then there are 0 and 00. If you bet on one number and that number hits, the payoff is 36:1. I stick to the 2:1 payoffs.

I played slots today, enjoyed the free buffet, and came home with $67 more than I left home in my purse. That is much better than I usually do at the local casino.

Looking good!

Congrats!

Enjoy! Save up the coupons when they come and wait for CVS to have one of their spend $ and receive ECB's on Dove products. Then spend the ECB's on something else that you want. It stretches out the win!

I received the Nikon CoolPix L810 camera that I won in the UPS sweepstakes in December today! It was just sitting on the porch. Mom's very excited and wants me to bring "her" camera up on Mother's day. (She gets the one that I bought after Christmas in 2011).
I also "won" a $5 BP GC from RewardTV today, so it;s been a very fun day!

Good Luck to all!
glad you had a good day. Big Grin

I switched to CFLs (compact florescent) (spiral) a long time ago

I've been switching the lights that are on the most to LEDs
LEDs have a whiter light also
they last 15-25 years with 2-3 hour daily use

I watch home depot for sales, Costco has the cheaper sometimes
Went to Costco for the lights. got some. Every wattage (is that a word EEK!) except for 100. I wish they had 150's as my dining room globe uses that one but did not see it. Made a cute little lamp in the kitchen into a night light with a 25 w led. but wound up calling sam at work to buy a great little storage shed. Just bought one at home depot smaller and a piece of junk compared to this one. We need it for the snow blower, etc. made so good. Costco has such good stuff, but sometimes if you do not buy it when they have it they never get it back again, you never know. so my pennies of savings cost us nearly $400.

LOL, Costco is like that - go for just a few things and end up needing a truck to haul it all home. I'm curious, what kind of price did you get on the LEDs and what brand are they?

One 60 watt was on sale for $7.99 Feit. Bought a 3 pack each of Lights of America 25 Watt for and Feit 40 watt. I cannot tell from the receipt which is which, but one 3-pack was $18.99 and the other $19.99. I think that is good.

Hi Wish,
I don't think a day has gone by that I did not worry about you and miss you. I am so sorry for what you have and are going through. What a terrible loss you have suffered. Time will let you feel better. Words do not really help that much, but time will definitely help. Please take care. hug
