Hi all,
I started this thread for anyone who wants to come here for lite discussion, jokes, and just general discussion and fun.
Everyone is welcome!
I was thinking that maybe it would be helpful to keep the original thread to a bit more of a serious discussion of the clues and answers.
This would make the original thread more useful to those seeking serious information and clues without having to read through hundreds of extraneous messages.
So, I hope it catches on !
So pop a beer and pull up a chair and relax !

No I'm not near done with all the stuff I do to get ready for summer but I did get my living room painted and put back in order.
I'm very happy about this win, don't get me wrong, but I'm a night person and most notaries (the one in my little town is in the bank) are day people.

We are excited to announce that you have been selected as the winner of the Pineapple Corer in the Find Your Inner Chef Sweepstakes! Congratulations!
In order to fulfill your prize, we need to have written acceptance of the prize via a response to this email. We also need to collect your full physical mailing address (no PO Boxes please) where we can send your prize. Finally, we would like authorization from you to use your name in Facebook posts promoting the contest (in the form of an announcement that you have won) - authorization to use your name is not a condition of winning.
Once we have received your acceptance and physical address, please allow 6-8 weeks for delivery of your prize.
And don't forget to vote on your favorite recipes in the voting gallery of the contest! Maybe you even want to submit a recipe of your own for a shot at the grand prize!

Still ill and tired (remember, lack of oxygen to the brain), so ignore the rant below (unless you want to read it)
I still have trouble with that concept. There was a Self magazine giveaway for a workout DVD that I had entered. The winner list had a particular person in a small town's name in various forms listed over 25 times in the 1st 100 winners alone! She had used initials and variations of her first, middle, nicknames, maiden, married last name. Then her husband with the same variations. That's when I stopped counting. I looked up the town and it's tiny and she and her husband were easily googled. Example(unusual last name too):
A B Smith, A B Jones Smith, A Smith, AB Smith, Ann Smith, A B Smith, A Bonnie Smith, A Bonnie Jones Smith, Abby Smith, Abby Jones Smith, and so on.
I rarely enter the Self drawings, even with 1000 to 1500 winners, and I haven't been inclined to do so after seeing the list. I have been told that you can hook 20 or more computers up to enter info automatically and just click enter on one and they will all enter at the same time.
REALLY.....
Congratulations on the win! And thank-you for the morning chuckle.
Happy Birthday MTmom!
Thank-you 123veas for the great Birthday quote.
Congrats on the win!
Clearing cookies usually helps me too.
Good Luck to all!
It is very unfortunate that there are cheaters, but most contests do check...so that is good.
Happy Birthday
Thanks again all for the birthday wishes!
Happy Birthday too

Thanks! I read through the lists of weekly prizes, they vary in value by a lot, so I guess it is just standard to do the affidavit...but still.

Thanks!
Good Luck to all!
Time to stick my head out of my cocoon and say hello to all you wonderful folks. This is the first time I've logged in for a very long time, so if you sent me a private message I haven't read any yet.
Tomorrow will be two months since my husband died (both full moon days). About mid-February we had driven to Chicago to stay a couple days at our youngest son's house before flying out of Midway to Ft Myers to stay with friends. The day after we got to FL, my husband didn't feel well and actually went to a doctor who treated him for a urinary infection but told him to get tests done when we got home. He never perked up and we only got back as far as Chicago to our son's house when he had a terrible attack that killed him.
I miss him very much, and now realize that he must not have felt good for a long time but ignored some of what was bothering him. Looking back, I can see why he often seemed unsettled and hard to be around at times. Sure wish God had given us the wisdom to do something about it before it was too late.
Dying out of state complicates matters a bit, so I am actually still waiting on the autopsy and the final death certificate.
If life ever settles down, I might be able to start entering more than a couple contests a week. Since the beginning of the year, I've been to Naples once, Chicago three times, Des Moines three times, and am going again soon. After that I plan to stay put for a while. I have lots of yard work to do but I plan to get someone to cut grass. That's one job I wouldn't even attempt trying to do.
I'll try to stop by again soon.
Thanks for the links & Congrats to all of the recent winners.
