I started this thread for anyone who wants to come here for lite discussion, jokes, and just general discussion and fun.

I was thinking that maybe it would be helpful to keep the original thread to a bit more of a serious discussion of the clues and answers.

This would make the original thread more useful to those seeking serious information and clues without having to read through hundreds of extraneous messages.

We live on one of the higher spots in the city, so it didn't affect us, but we had record levels on the Rock River. Sailing They have done a buy out of a lot of the homes in the flood plains, so it hasn't affected quite so many people this year, but the ding dang river has been closed for weeks to boaters. Mad

I don't trust them either. I don't have one on my desk top, and the day I unpacked my little netbook from M I put a piece of electrical tape over the lens, and it's stayed there ever since. Big Grin

I can't believe I've encountered this problem twice and both times my cats were eating premium foods (Evo, California Naturals, and Natural Balance this time - last time Halo and Wellness).
I think its getting to be more common as cat food companies are using waste and foods unfit for humans. also alot of grain comes from bad sources and have pesticides or rat killer poisons. all are very hard on the liver and kidneys. I like to raw feed my animals but sister wants her feed by companys she trusts just because they are popular. Animals can eat spoiled foods and some need it and have the enzymes for it but basic people food minus salt and preservatives are great for all animals and like humans each pet needs the right balance of carb to protein. I almost think its cheaper to raw feed. Sister spends $50 a week on dog food. When I was raw feeding I was going through $30 for the same amount of food but she doesnt think its healthy. I do make my own treats though. Good luck with your kitty. sounds like you caught it in time and know what to do for it

I had someone tell me I was lying about having a camera one time untill he told me what I was wearing! Never even noticed that little hole on my monitor before!!! EEK!

I started him on raw when I got him at 5 weeks old; it was easier then, because my holistic vet was nearby and I could get good quality meat/bones from her. When I moved to a smaller city I started buying online and use foods with good reputations (human-grade meat, wheat, soy and corn free, etc.). I just dread them dragging food all over the house, since that's what they do with raw. Frown Gonna have to come up with a game plan - maybe lock 'em in the bathroom for feeding time. I hope they don't kill one another. laugh out loud

When I started having kidney problems I found out alot of food at the grocery store isnt human-grade and ive been so much better by watching what I eat and try to grow as much of my own as I can. They plump meats (and not just chicken) to make them bigger and tastier. natural chicken should not have sodium!!! most chicken has more than a daily supply of sodium so I have to eat chicken thats not plumped and its hard to find. found they do it with roasts and steaks too and with beef and pork they use meat glue!!! gonna check out the farmers market or buy a cow and do it myself. Couldnt kill it but sister knows hunters who could. once its skinned I could do it how I want it and if I grow my own veggies I can control pesticides and stuff so I dont get poisons. Just have to keep the dogs from eating the greenbeans and blackberries!!! They love them!! Confused
