Hi all,

I started this thread for anyone who wants to come here for lite discussion, jokes, and just general discussion and fun.

Everyone is welcome!

I was thinking that maybe it would be helpful to keep the original thread to a bit more of a serious discussion of the clues and answers.

This would make the original thread more useful to those seeking serious information and clues without having to read through hundreds of extraneous messages.

So, I hope it catches on !

So pop a beer and pull up a chair and relax !

Hi Sprok Wave
I'm doing pretty good,TY,how about you?
I'll be buying some tomato plants this weekend. Do you recommend a certain type? I like the kind that doesn't have the white core in it but I don't know what they are called.
They are called BEEFSTEAK tomatoes. Plus newer tomato varieties resist hard core, such as Carnival, Celebrity, Daybreak, Mountain Fresh, Mountain Spring, Sun Leaper, and Sunmaster

I was going to suggest olive oil or mineral oil since they are both harmless if he licks it and it can loosen the crud and help move it out They are the only 2 oils I know of that let the skin breath without clogging pores. Do NOT use the wash. It is toxic to the liver and possible the kidneys and that will make him like himself bald in spots too
Oh don't worry, I'm never using that wash again. I know better than to trust doctors, including vets, who tell me stuff is safe.Frown I was just at the end of my rope with his ears, that I was willing to try anything.

Several months ago my holistic vet told me to mix a solution of olive oil and garlic extract to use for cleaning his ears. While I was able to remove so much junk, the scratching never lessened; the licking himself bald started long before that (and long before I began using the wash). We tried homeopathic remedies for the licking, but that didn't help so I went to the regular vet and got the dreaded cortisone shot (it was my last resort). It worked for a month or so and he had complete relief. Then it started again. Changing foods really did help and after he's able to eat good food, I'm going to have him allergy tested. The good news is that his appetite is great.

What I didn't mention was that I started him on milk thistle on Sunday. He ate several times that day, but then the diarrhea got really bad. On Monday he stopped eating, so I took him to the regular vet for subcutaneous fluid injections. Within 5 minutes of being home he headed to the food bowl and ate several times that night. He hasn't had any milk thistle since Sunday night. He's playing and purring. Smilie Again, I hope my lessons learned help others and their babies.

I was going to post that it was the Kashi win-quite a few people posted about it in the main contest thread.

Congrats!
Sweet contests like you!

Thank-you! I will try this with the banana peppers.
I HAD 6 cucumber plants growing from seed. I had put them on the back steps since the weather has been nice. Darn robin came up and pulled two of them out of the pot. I replanted the one that he left, but he came back and took a 2nd one. This is the robin that scolds me to leave after I water everything and replace the bird bath water. This is the 4th year that he has come back.

Congrats!

Congratulations! Nice win.

I haven't entered any contests yet today. I DID get a coupon for a free International Delights coffee creamer today and the OSU shirts that Mom and I picked out using some of the MCR wins. Moriah is ill again. 2nd day in a row and I'm not too good myself.

Good Luck to all!

Actually my back is killing me for the past few days. White core ? That's what you usually get with store bought.. they're picked green ! I usually buy just a few plants just because I always have volunteer tomatoes pop up and I never know for sure what they are. Early Girl are a good sized fruit and tend to ripen a few weeks ahead of others. I'm not too particular ... Big Boys or Beef Masters are my other choices

nod I think the wife thinks it's Jak from State Farm LMAOLMAOLMAO
That sprocks!! Hope ya feel better Smilie
