open only to legal residents of the fifty (50) United States and the District of Columbia who are at least fourteen (14) years old at the time of entry.
begins on May 21, 2013 at 12:00 a.m. Eastern Time ("ET") and ends on June 17, 2013 at 11:59 p.m. ET (the "Contest Period").
one (1) essay describing your favorite sports moment shared with your father (the "Submission") in order to receive one (1) Contest entry. P.O. Boxes are not permitted.
You may also upload a photo. The photo will be outside the scope of the Submission, and will not be considered when selecting a winner.
Limit: Each entrant may enter the Contest one (1) time during the Contest Period.
Winner Determination: After the conclusion of the Contest Period, a panel of qualified judges determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion will select the potential winners from among all eligible Submissions received, based on an application of the following criteria (Judging Criteria):
Creativity/Articulation (30%);
Description of father/child event (30%);
Relation to theme (30%); and
Originality (10%)
Prizes: FIVE (5) GRAND PRIZES: Winner's choice of one (1) out of the following experiences:
a. Hunting Sport Shooting: A trip for two (2) to Pierre, SD. Trip package includes round trip, coach-class air transportation for two (2) from a major airport near winner's home (determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion) to Pierre, SD; three (3) nights' accommodations at a hotel determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion (single room, double occupancy); Cheyenne Ridge Signature Lodge - 2 Day Pheasant Hunt; ground transportation to and from airport and hotel; a $500 Dick's Sporting Goods gift card to be used for hunting apparel; $1,800 as a gross-up to be used for tax purposes; and travel agent services for the trip. Winner must complete the trip within one (1) year from the drawing date or prize will be forfeited.
b. Outdoor Experience Gateway Canyons Resort: A trip for two (2) to Denver, CO. Trip package includes round trip, coach-class air transportation for two (2) from a major airport near winner's home (determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion) to Denver, CO; four (4) nights' accommodations at Gateway Canyons Resort (single room, double occupancy); $1,000 resort voucher to be used on activities of choice at on-site Adventure Center; a 30-minute helicopter tour; $250 dining credit at Entrada or Paradox Grille; breakfast daily; ATV tour; and complimentary admission to the Gateway Colorado Auto Museum; $1,800 as a gross-up to be used for tax purposes; and travel agent services for the trip. If winner does not meet requirements for rental car, that portion of the prize will be forfeited in its entirety. Winner must complete the trip within one (1) year from the drawing date or prize will be forfeited.
c. Golf TPC Sawgrass: A trip for two (2) to Jacksonville, FL. Trip package includes round trip, coach-class air transportation for two (2) from a major airport near winner's home (determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion) to Jacksonville, FL; three (3) nights' accommodations at a hotel determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion (single room, double occupancy); tour of the Golf Channel studios; Ground transportation to and from airport and hotel and to and from Golf Channel studios; a round of golf for two on the legendary Players Stadium golf course; (2); $600 meal allowance; $1,800 as a gross-up to be used for tax purposes; and travel agent services for the trip. Winner must complete the trip within one (1) year from the drawing date or prize will be forfeited.
d. Ultimate World Series Game Experience - A trip for two (2) to the 2013 MLB World Series. Trip package includes round trip, coach-class air transportation for two (2) from a major airport near winner's home (determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion) to a major airport nearest the location of the 2013 MLB World Series; two (2) nights' accommodations at a hotel determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion (single room, double occupancy); two (2) tickets to two (2) 2013 World Series games; ground transportation to and from airport and hotel; event transfers; $600 meal allowance; $1,800 as a gross-up to be used for tax purposes; and travel agent services for the trip. Winner must travel during the 2013 World Series scheduled between October 23, 2013 and October 31, 2013, or prize will be forfeited.
e. Fishing Alaskan Salmon Fishing Expedition: A trip for two (2) to Anchorage, AK. Trip package includes round trip, coach-class air transportation for two (2) from a major airport near winner's home (determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion) to Anchorage, AK; three (3) nights' accommodations at a hotel determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion (single room, double occupancy); three (3) full days of guided fishing tours; a SUV rental car for the length of stay; $600 meal allowance; a $100 fishing license/supply allowance; $1,800 as a gross-up to be used for tax purposes; and travel agent services for the trip. If winner does not meet requirements for rental car, that portion of the prize will be forfeited in its entirety. Winner must complete the trip within one (1) year from the drawing date or prize will be forfeited.
