Who has two thumbs and has a wife that went into labor on her own this morning?

This guy!

DW is having contractions, was dilated when we got to the hospital. Her OB broke her water. Waiting on lab results prior to getting her epidural. What a morning!

It's about darn time!

My wife agrees with you. She is strongly considering her epidural right now...she had been trying to wait because she felt as if it would slow things down.

My DW begged and pleaded to get an epidural - then it didn't work on one side so she felt everything. She was not happy.

That sucks...when we had our first the anesthesiologist was very chatty and would not get to it.

The nurse just made the call. Contractions are every 1-3 minutes.

Good luck to you. DW is due 8/1 and is motoring along just fine. Since she was induced 2 weeks late with DD (4 years ago last weekend!) and that wound up in C-section after 28 hours (pitocin... btw we think the induction didn't work because DD was well over 9 lbs), she has already scheduled a C-section for 8/2 just in case DD #2 doesn't come by then.

Honestly I'd rather it come down to a C-section so we don't have to deal with the craziness of running to the hospital at 3 AM!

There is something to be said about that. It does take the unknown out of the equation. Wife wanted to try VBAC because she to felt that her c-section was a result of a failed induction. So far so good. She labored a little at home...didn't want to wake the baby sitters (grandparents) too early.

EEK! A friend of mine had an epidural and it didn't work for her either. Faint I don't remember the details though.

Where's the baby? What's taking so long? How is the cafeteria food? I have always loved hospital cafeteria food. I don't know why.

True...for some reason my wife wanted to wait. Dontknow I guess she wanted to make sure she was in labor. Didn't want to get sent home.

Patience, this takes time. She just got her epidural and is feeling great. Didn't eat any cafeteria food yet, but I do eat here every so often...some of the food is decent, other stuff not so good.

I would say it's a 50% chance. So far ultrasounds said girl, but would be happy either way.
