amazon closed my account

Got a email that amazon closed my account, due to recieving a refund on 2 orders I returned due to the items were not working so they closed my account, and I had a lot of money in my account still from my surveys, now im out so much money, does anyone know how I can get my money I contacted them and they said I maynot be able to get it backConfused

5 Refunds for total $40.37, 6 returns,

4 of the returns were for an item my dad bought that was different from the picture on the website
he bought 2 of the item, told amazon it was different from the website picture, got an exchange in which they sent the same thing again, then returned it again and just asked for a refund.

1 return/refund in which the book I bought was damaged when I got it,
Other 2 refunds were actually price adjustments on preorder.

270 orders since 1/1/01 for a total of $8600. 8 refunds, 2 returns. 2 returns were me being sent the wrong item, one was a dvd instead of a blue ray. Other 6 refunds were pricing adjustments, some due to late arriving items.
