Amazon closed my account

1,923 199 December 4, 2013 at 05:19 AM
So my wife account on Amazon got closed due "continued to request refunds for a significant number of your orders." Basically we had a baby and she was buying and returning stuff, but still keeping a lot of stuff. But I guess they have there reasons, anyway my account which had the same amazon visa card (sharing rewards) also got closed due to being linked to this account. I had student prime and over all loved my account and had good standings. What can I do now ? From reading around I see that they are using the billing address and/or Credit card/Bank information to link accounts, not the delivery address. This really sucks !

I've bought plenty of baby stuff from Amazon and never returned any of it. Me and my wife would just browse Target or walmart and then compare the prices online. Since we were able to check out the items in store, there was no reason to return anything we ordered. Also, it's kind of hard to mess up baby sizes unless your baby is built like Stallone.

If you struggle to get purchases right a lot though, don't buy online.

Problem solved.
Again missing the point ! Drugstore.com for instance took returns and via shoprunner and didnt complain. Neather did shoprunner. Again if you offer a great return policy stand by it or set monthly limits or warnings atleast but cancel an account and then cancel assosiated good accounts ? If you think thats normal then Im really not sure what to say. We buy online because we have no time for store shopping and most importantly because we can. If you advertise and get me in by saying hassle free returns and easy returns/exchanges then why ban me for it ? And then when you do why ban the other account ? Think about this for few.

Again guys good feedback !

Nice assumption asshole, lol. I'm not even talking about clothes.

You need to check out the internet some more. Zappos.com also offers UNLIMITED FREE SHIPPING returns. Difference being they don't cancel accounts just because a consumer uses what they have the right to use according to the store's own policy. I know people that buy 5 pairs of shoes and keeps the one they like.
Wow again is that my wife talking ? Lol exact words !

I just bought shoes online and they don't fit. I am going to return them to the local store now. Hoping they have my size in stock. But how you people think every brand of shoe will fit the same and different brands of clothes too, you must be just lucky. I can go by some feedback but unless you buy the exact brand over and over, you are going to run into issues.

Amazon are liars. They change the rules so often and if they keep it up, they will lose business. I expect them to lose more business as they end up having to charge tax in more states now and how they changed their subscribe and save to once a month now. I guess the "all you can eat" doesn't apply here too.

Yohz, Just be glad Amazon's drones weren't operational yet. Wink They could have either came and picked up your little one for a job in one of the warehouses, or put missles on those drones to help with 'their return problem' OMG

amazon seems to be going old school tactics recently, its been a while since a ban right?

one thing i would avoid is contacting amazon CSR agents asking for credit for price matches or price mistakes and shit like that

Yea, 25 is a lot... I dont even do that many over a year. Why not just go to a local store and do this, I mean try Carters, their prices arent that bad if you shop for the sales.

What about changing bottles ? Or proper bottle warmers or other none clothing baby stuff. We changed our baby formula 5 times and bottles since baby was crying none stop first month. Shoes from endless was never a problem until now! So i dont know you guys have your points, and again buisness does have a right to refuse service if they are loosing money on you. But punishing my account that is just out there and what really hurts, my wife is really less upset, there is zappos and other baby stores and such, but I used amazon a lot and it will be a paint if theyll cont closing accounts that I will try to use.

Duh.. why do you think new mothers come with built in milk makers? To avoid getting banned by Amazon!

You should have just bought a book on why breast feeding is better and saved yourself all those returns...

Wow. A few things learned here today. Mainly, I learned that Amazon does NOT mess around when they decide to ban someone.

The only thing I feel Amazon did that was kind of messed up was apparently giving no warning. Did your wife really not get any warnings about the return rate?

Having said that, I don't much feel that Amazon owes you a warning. It doesn't owe you free returns, or anything else, regardless of what the advertised policies are. I understand that you have your right to shop where you please, and they have the right to deny service. I don't really think anyone has any moral obligation to bend to what I feel is fair. If I don't like it, I can and should take my money somewhere else, plain and simple.

If they said you couldn't make any more returns, or enforced a 2% return limit on you, but left your accounts open, would you still even buy from Amazon? How much of your desire to reopen your account is driven solely by the return policy that you and wife used frequently?

Sometimes a customer just costs more time and money than he or she is worth. Regardless of whatever Facebook rants he posts, BBB complaints he files, or negative word of mouth he can spread, even if he is technically within the lines of the store policy. Eventually its just time to move on from that customer. Sometimes a company has to fire a customer.

I think it was just time for you to get fired. just kidding. But seriously, no warning?

had to quote this, you're joking right? If i have a receipt, EVERY STORE every where for the most part will take the item back. If it's been abused or overly used, that's another story but if you buy something you have 30 days to decide if you wanna keep it or not, or whatever the store's policy is, they can't arbitrarily decline you WITH A RECEIPT if there is nothing wrong with the returned product, if i say i don't want it, they take it back. If i say ummm i just need the cash, they take it back. That's business. Please let me know what store bans you from returning items with a receipt within the 30 days as amazon's? I await your response.
