Amazon closed my account

So my wife account on Amazon got closed due "continued to request refunds for a significant number of your orders." Basically we had a baby and she was buying and returning stuff, but still keeping a lot of stuff. But I guess they have there reasons, anyway my account which had the same amazon visa card (sharing rewards) also got closed due to being linked to this account. I had student prime and over all loved my account and had good standings. What can I do now ? From reading around I see that they are using the billing address and/or Credit card/Bank information to link accounts, not the delivery address. This really sucks !

Edit, let me add that you might be surprised that many people don't know about sites like SD or generally read stuff like this on the Internet. I certainly was, here's an example. I bought a last gen Nexus 7 32GB for the inlaw when Gamestop cleared them out for $99. When I ask the rep there, he didn't even know about the price drop. I told him to just scan it. He was shocked at the $99 price and asked how I knew about it. I told him SD, and that he will get many calls about it. He had no idea what SD or any other deal sites are. This was a young tech savvy guy. He thanked me and bought the remaining 2 for himself.
The bottom line is that Amazon is under no obligation to do business with someone, and exercised their right for a customer who was clearly a serial renter/returner. Pull the same stunt at your local business, and you can fully expect the owner or manager to do the same. The only difference is that in the age of the internet, banning a customer is easier and more effective than sticking a picture of your face on every cashier kiosk.
Why would they buy from me? Because I'm cheaper than amazon. Remember I got the 'deal'. They missed it or weren't looking for it. Not everyone is a slick dealer.
Yeah, I don't see anything because I did 1 5 months ago and that's about it.
You buy something from a retailer, that clearly has a return policy that allows you to return things after you bought them, that assumes you wont just buy once from them, that actually tries to get you to buy more stuff by advertising a "great" return policy, and then instead of returning it to get a full refund, you spend time on finding a buyer for the things you clearly could just return, dealing with person not wanting an item like you dealing with shipping the item, paying for shipping ? Does that make sense to you ? Because to me it doesnt. You trying to protect a retail store that supposed to work for you ?
Just to be clear we have 2 children work more then full time and are very limited on free time. This is a huge reason for buying online and specifically with amazon as there delivery times are great. They clearly stated on there policy that we are able to return things, and when something was ordered and we did not want it for whatever reason we paid shipping back when we were supposed to, we didnt abuse the free shipping part, and a lot of times we paid more then 10% of the item cost to ship it back to them... Again fine they didnt like my wifes actions, warn her, ban her account, warn me, dont just close our accounts together.....
I came to tell this story to people not to debate or argue, I came to ask how to get around opening another account and still buying from amazon, but it seems it became another back and forth threat. Its starting to feel like special Olympics in here...
Anyway thanks for the feedback and your thoughts.
I told you exactly how to open another account. Step by step. But you disagreed and said you were just going to open a new account your way. Just exactly is it you want? For us to agree with you and say 'just open another account and all will be well'?
Fine....just open another account and all will be well.
I guess you guys are right this seems pointless now. I wanted to share with my community and seek some advise.....

You said to get a new SS# and move.... LOL

Well no my wife did not use it as a rent a center. If we bought 20 bottles and they do not fit or used, we shouldnt return them ? I`m a little confused about people not ever returning stuff on this forum, if you buy something for $50 and it doesnt fit or you cant use it, you just leave it as is ? Or try to spend your time to sell it, probably at a loss ? This are SD forums where we try to save $, some times even 50 cents, but yet you guys are saying its ok to eat the cost of an item you are not able to use ? Pretty sure you are on the wrong forums or trying to find 1 specific item and will not use this place again..... With that said, even if amazon is in the right (which I dont fully agree, since we used what they advertised) closing my wifes account, my biggest issue is the closure of my account, which did not have that many returns.
Again thanks for feedback, but please get the whole story
.
Clearly you were using amazon rewards and combined with the returns and savings at amazon, it would seem to me like any account you started would get subsequently banned as well... You mentioned using your grandmas account so I'm just putting that out there so you don't get her banned as well.
I do think its true that if amazon advertised this banning policy that people would be a lot more hesitant to shop online with them rather than pop into a retail store and check out the item in person, make sure it fits etc.
You keep making a point of saying you and the wife have two kids, work, etc and simply do not have time to physically shop at other stores. Seriously, why even have kids if you don't have a lifestyle that enables you to stop at babiesrus or target on the way home from work? Do you realize how ridiculous and self important this sounds? Anyway, I still have sympathy for you getting banned from amazon during the holiday season, it sounds like your wife's doing and you're probably fuming at her right now.

Your last statement is kind of silly... and I dont think I should respond to it anyway...
There you go ... To get a new identify you need a new SS# I did understand you correctly
And this guy's story keeps shifting.
Hint: Once you 'try on' your clothes and find that they 'don't fit', that clothing is used.
I am talking about the step by step post that shows exactly how to do it.
Ps: you like to argue a lot. I am about to ban you myself. Lolol.
A corporation is considered a separate person under the law. So step one is to form an S-Corp or LLC. They charge as little as $69 for a basic LLC. Plus you will have to pay a filing fee to your state. Some states charge a really high filing fee. Washington State it costs $200, but Nevada is only $75, so that is one option since you do not have to live in Nevada to have a corporation there.
Next you will need a new email address and a physical address. The email address is easy. For a physical address you want to just rent a box in one of those mailbox franchises that exist in almost every town. (There is another advantage of this. The mailbox place is a commercial address. When you have goods shipped to you, it is cheaper to ship to a commercial address than a residential one. This savings can easily pay for the box rental).
Once you get a commercial address, you will now need a bank account and Visa card in the name of the business. Just take your articles of incorporation to your local bank, open an account in the name of your business (your LLC name) and ask for a Visa Debit card for the account.
Now you just need to do one last thing. Amazon logs your IP address, so you will need to change that.
Now you should be ready to apply for a new account. Just one more thing; when you name your corporation or LLC, use a name different than your own. If your Amazon account was in the name of Susan Jones, don't name your LLC: Susan Jones, LLC. Your LLC doesn't have to be named after you, you can pick any name you like that isn't being used by someone else.
EDIT: oh, and something else, buy a new computer, like a dell laptop for $250 and use it to access your Amazon account. Amazon will read the computer information and so a new computer is key (some claim you can Reformat your hard drive or restore it to pre-Amazon days. Amazon plants permanent cookies on your drive that even a new IP will not cover-up.)

I`m not arguing I`m discussing... Also what post are you referring to. Because I must of missed it.
