So I got the job at FedEx. Not sure how this is going to work out though because it's only a part time deal and my shift starts at 1am.

I am still rather ticked off about the chain of events this week. When my "friend" called me to basically be me to fill in at the dog place again we had a discussion. It's not a bad job but it has 3 issues: low pay, it's not full time and you work each and every Saturday and Sunday. She said since she was planning on leaving in April there would be a full-time position and it only includes working Saturday. So I said I would stay on permanently. On Wednesday I found out that she rehired the person who quit two weeks ago. And gave her the full-time position as she decided her last day would be that Wednesday. And it's turned into a two-way screwing as far as I am concerned as they are exceptionally busy this week and the schedule was not adjusted to meet the workload. And guess who gets screwed working alone through the bulk of it.....yep-me.

So my plan is to see if I even like the FedEx gig first and to work both of them for a few weeks. If I like FedEx I'll probably just go with that. It's no weekends, pays more and is closed to the house.

The first few weeks suck the worst at UPS and FedEx from what I've heard...UPS seems to be worse though...

I have heard UPS pays less...much less for essentially the same job. Pick things up and put them down.

I'm hoping I can get acclimated to the job before the weather gets too extreme.

Yeah, I did the UPS thing for the holiday rush one year, and those first few days I was as tired as I've ever been, and I lost about 18 lbs...6-7 hours non-stop moving...
