Got my internet service hooked up at the new place. Now the computer doesn't recognize the keyboard. Ranting I just want to surf the net(on a screen larger than 3inches); is that too much to ask for?

That would make me unhappy as well, which is one reason I do not have a smart phone, nor use my phone to get on the Internet - can't see shit on my phone doing that laugh out loud

If the keyboard is a PS/2, turn the computer off (hold in the power button for 10 seconds if necessary), disconnect the keyboard, plug it back in and turn on the computer. Some computers will only try to find a PS/2 keyboard at power on. Rebooting will not fix the issue.

If the keyboard is a USB, try different ports. Sometimes the HID service won't start until you log in so it can't find a keyboard on a port it wasn't connected to previously.

If you are using a Mac, forget everything I just said.

I did all that and still no luck. Went and bought another keyboard. Official diagnosis (since this new keyboard is working) is that the old keyboard is died.

There has to be, I really like Dell's designs, but their performance sucks, and their cs is way beyond crappy!! I used to always get my lappys fixed even with this cs crap but now they are crappy with no results at the end...fugly really!!

So I go to see a new doctor today asking for a test to rule out a problem. He asks me a bunch of irrelevant questions and engages in purposefully antagonistic behavior by asking things like, "What makes you angry?" and telling me I have an agenda. Head Bang Which deflects the serious medical condition I DID make the appointment to talk about. Refuses to do the test because... Wait for it...

If it comes back positive that could be for a whole variety of different reasons and they'd have to do more tests to figure out why.

And they wonder why people go on shooting sprees. So now I have to find a whole new doctor to try and get this inexpensive blood test done. Oh and he wants to wait a few weeks, if he were to order the lab test, and have me take nsaids, use a heating pad, and exercise. I've had this problem since December of last year. If those things were going to help it... Facepalm I want to scream right now and then punch him in the face a few times. Farking doctors! Ranting
